Windows 11, which I had been looking forward to, is finally here. The Windows 11 update will be rolled out on the 5th of this month, but it will be released in phases on eligible devices. However, it is worth noting that, as mentioned earlier, it will not be released at once, but in phases.
Windows 11 is equipped with a lot of new features, such as the ability to download and run Android applications on a Windows PC, and update to Microsoft Teams, the start menu, and the overall design of the software.
But please note: not all features are available today.
Let’s take a look at 7 great new features included in Windows 11
A new, more Mac-like interface: Windows 11 uses a concise design with rounded corners, soft tones, and a centered “Start” menu and taskbar.
Integrated Android applications: Android applications will enter Windows 11 through the Amazon Appstore and can be accessed from the updated Microsoft Store. There are several ways to access Android apps on Windows 10, especially if you have a Samsung Galaxy phone, but this will make it native. (Please note that in the initial version of Windows 11, the Android application will not be available.)
Widgets: Although they have been around for a while (remember the desktop widgets on Windows Vista?), included in the recent Windows 10 update, you can now access the widgets directly from the taskbar and personalize them To view whatever you want.
Microsoft team integration: Teams is being redesigned and fixed on the Windows 11 taskbar to make it more accessible (more like Apple’s FaceTime). You will be able to access Teams from Windows, Mac, Android or iOS.
Xbox technology brings better gaming experience: Windows 11 will get some features in Xbox consoles, such as Auto HDR and DirectStorage, to improve the gaming experience on Windows PCs.
Better virtual desktop support: Windows 11 will allow you to set up virtual desktops in a way more similar to MacOS, switching between multiple desktops for personal, work, school, or gaming use. You can also change the wallpaper on each virtual desktop.
Easier transition from monitors to laptops, and better multitasking: The new operating system includes features called Snap Groups and Snap Layouts-a collection of applications you are using, which are located in the taskbar and can be used at the same time Appear or minimize to make it easier to switch tasks. They also allow you to more easily plug and unplug from the monitor without losing the position of the open window.
