Windows 11 does not work, how can I return to “Windows 10”?

It’s been a week since Windows 11 was released. I believe many friends have already downloaded and installed Windows 11. Have you ever encountered a sudden strike when using Windows 11? Does this make you very helpless? Since Windows 11 is developed based on Windows 10, compared with traditional upgrades, it is less likely to fail. However, there are also some known issues, such as poor performance of AMD processors. In addition, there are reports that the software is not working properly due to minor changes. so what should I do? Some people will say back to Windows 10 system. The question is, how can I return to Windows 10 after updating to Windows 11?

Here are two methods for everyone, please be patient to finish!

Method 1: “rollback” upgrade (with time limit)

If you use Windows Update etc. to upgrade (overwrite) from Windows 10, you can “roll back (write back)” to Windows 10 within 10 days from the date of installation.

The steps are as follows: 1. Open “Settings” 2. Click (click) “Recovery” in “System” 3. Click “Restore” in “Recovery Options” 4. Answer the reason for rolling back to Windows 10 and click ” Next” 5. Click “No” 6. After reading the notes, click “Next” 7. After reading the notes about the login (login) password, click “Next” Click “Go” 8. Click Click “Restore to Windows 10” 9. Wait a moment (may restart several times) After the restoration process is complete, the Windows 10 login screen will be displayed.

Note: When rolling back, the data stored in the storage (HDD/SSD) will be retained. However, the following data cannot be retained. Back up when needed, and reset after rollback. Applications and updates installed after the version upgrade (not including some) ・System settings added/changed after the version upgrade

Method 2: Reinstall the operating system

If 10 days have passed since the upgrade, you will need to reinstall Windows 10. When reinstalling, please use one of the “recovery drive”, “manufacturer-specified recovery media” and “installation media”. In either case, all data will be deleted from storage, so you should back up the necessary data in advance before starting work. Use a recovery drive As a general rule, PCs with preinstalled Windows 10/11 use the “recovery drive” as the recovery medium. If you have a recovery drive that you created before upgrading to Windows 10, you can use it to reinstall Windows 10. The method of booting from the recovery drive depends on the PC. Check from the instruction manual or support site.
