Last week, Windows 11 began to be widely introduced, and Microsoft introduced a new operating system, and it began rolling out to eligible devices on October 5. Everyone who already uses Windows 10 can upgrade for free. Please note that Microsoft is rolling out the operating system in phases, so your system may not yet show an upgrade option. A Microsoft blog post in August stated that the company expects that “all eligible devices will be upgraded to Windows 11 for free by mid-2022.” If you don’t want to wait that long, please read on to learn about Windows 11 installation How the assistant becomes a shortcut to Windows 11.
You can choose to manually download Windows 11 and view its new features, such as widgets, snapshot layouts, virtual desktops, and the new Microsoft Store. We will tell you how to download and update it below!
Some users can download Windows 11 like any new version of Windows. Just go to “Settings”> “Update & Security”> “Windows Update” and click “Check for Updates”. If available, you will see feature updates for Windows 11. Click Download and install.
However, please note that the rollout of Windows 11 will be slow-it may take several months to be available on your device. New PCs will be upgraded first, and all compatible devices are expected to receive upgrades in the middle of 2022, depending on the age and hardware of the device.
If the upgrade is not yet available, but you want to upgrade immediately, you have several options. The best and easiest option is to download the Windows 11 installation assistant. After downloading, select Run to ensure that your hardware is compatible. Then accept and install to agree to the license terms and start the installation. After the program is installed, you will be prompted to restart your computer. During the installation process, your PC may restart several times, so don’t panic. Just keep your PC on until everything is done.
If you cannot use the Windows 11 Setup Assistant, you have several backup options, but please note that these options are more complicated. We strongly recommend that you consider waiting for the update to arrive on your device. If you are sure you want to continue, you can create Windows 11 installation media or ISO files. Microsoft’s Windows 11 download page has more detailed steps.
