The Android tablet market is pretty sluggish, with only a few manufacturers really paying attention and launching great devices that are worth our time. Samsung is one of them. The upcoming new Galaxy Tab series of tablets will give Android tablet users a lot of choices, including the Galaxy Tab S8, Galaxy Tab S8+, and Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra.
Let’s talk about the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra first. The device will reportedly feature a 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate (2960 x 1848 resolution), a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8GB/128GB and 16GB/512GB memory and storage configurations, microSD card expansion, S Pen stylus support, 11,200 mAhGalaxy Tab S8 Battery a powerful rear camera, fast charging, wireless DeX docking station, and pre-installed Android 12 (One UI 4.0).
For such a powerful Android tablet, its price is currently unknown, but it is certain that it will be very expensive.
In addition, there is the Galaxy Tab S8 and S8+. Both products sound good. The smaller S8 tablet features an 11-inch LTPS TFT display with a 120Hz refresh rate (2560 x 1600), the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 8GB of RAM and two storage options (128GB or 256GB), S Pen support, an 8000mAhGalaxy Tab S8 Battery, and runs the same Android 12 software. The Galaxy Tab S8+ is nearly identical, but larger. Its display is 12.7 inches, made of Super AMOLED, and has a 120Hz refresh rate. Other specs include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset, and the same RAM and storage options as the smaller S8, but theGalaxy Tab S8 Batteryis larger at 10090mAh.
We’ll be sure to keep you updated on pricing and availability for these devices, but as for when they’ll launch, it’s expected to take place during MWC, which this year is in late February. Samsung usually makes announcements ahead of time, so we’ll likely know soon.
