Test du Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2

The $279 Jabra Elite 10 Gen 2 True Wireless Noise Cancelling Earbuds improve on the best-selling $249 originals, offering industry-leading low-frequency active noise cancellation (ANC) and an advanced charging case that streams audio from nearly any source to your earbuds. The audio drivers and companion app remain the same, but that’s okay, as we like the balanced sound signature and adjustable EQ. But what really sets them apart from the higher-end noise-canceling offerings is their excellent IP57 dust and water resistance. The $229 Jabra Elite 8 Active Gen 2 and $299 Bose QuietComfort Ultra ultimately earned our Editors’ Choice awards for their more rugged designs and slightly better noise cancellation, but the Elite 10 Gen 2 has both. Design: Familiar waterproof constructionThe Elite 10 earbuds are available in Cocoa (brown), Denim (light blue), Gloss Black, Soft White, or Titanium Black. I tested the Soft White model and liked the variety of color options. The earbuds are meant for long listening sessions, and Jabra offers three sets of angled eartips with semi-open perforated grilles for a secure fit. Inside are the same 10mm dynamic drivers as the originals, delivering a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz, and they’re compatible with Bluetooth 5.3 using the AAC and SBC codecs, support Google Quick Pair, and offer multipoint connectivity with up to two devices. The earbuds can receive Bluetooth LE audio from the charging case (including via the LC3 codec), but not individually. If you want high-end codec support for your Android device, consider the $299 Sony WF-1000XM5 with LDAC.
