How to choose the right power bank

I talked about what kind of equipment the mobile power supply can provide power for. Then this time I will tell you how to choose the power bank that suits you! Some people will say that the larger the capacity of the mobile power supply, the better it is, and the more suitable it is? Is it really? But this is not the case. Because everyone’s needs are different, you only consider its capacity, have you considered its weight? Then I will provide a few for your reference when choosing a mobile power supply!

According to the individual

Demands and requirements, several general criteria need to be considered when choosing a mobile power supply:

a) Capacity

For example, if your mobile phone battery is 1500mAh, it is now 0%, then a 2200mAh mobile power bank can charge your mobile phone once. If your mobile phone battery is 3000mAh, it is now 0%, then the 2200mAh mobile power bank will not be able to fill your mobile phone, because the battery capacity of the mobile phone is higher than the mobile power bank. If you need a power bank that can charge your phone multiple times, you need a power bank with a larger capacity.

b) Number of outputs

1 output charges 1 device, 2 outputs charges 2 devices.

c) Output specifications

The 1A-1.5A output is generally used for smart phones, and the 1.5A-2.0A output is generally used for tablet computers.

2. How long does it take to charge the power bank for the first time and afterwards? How many times can the mobile power supply charge the mobile phone?

a) The mobile power bank is pre-charged and ready for use.

b) The charging time depends on the capacity of the mobile power supply, the remaining power of the mobile power supply and the power source.

Example:

-Powerbank: 13000mAh (0% remaining)

-Power/input: 1000mA plug-calculation

: 13000mAh/800mA = at least 16.25 hours

(Why 800mA? It is estimated that 20% of the power is consumed during the charging/discharging process)

c) A similar formula is suitable for calculating the number of times a mobile power bank can charge a mobile phone.

Example:

-Powerbank: 10000mAh (90% full)

-Phone Battery: 1500mAh -Calculation

: (10000mAh x 90% x 80%) / 1500mAh = up to 5 times

(Why 90%? Assuming that the mobile power supply is maintained in good working condition, it can save up to 90% of power)

(Why 80%? It is estimated that 20% of the power will be consumed during the charging/discharging process)

* Please note that this calculation is based on the normal state of the mobile power supply or device (mobile phone/tablet) that is not used during the charging process. A device that is running usually consumes power, so if your device is active during the charging process, the charging performance may not be as expected.

* The above calculation is a simple example for reference. The accuracy may vary.

What is a mobile power bank, and why can they charge the device?

Everyone uses mobile smart phones every day, and a dead phone will make you very distressed. This has led to the emergence of mobile power supplies, and they are very popular. Because it can continue to provide power to your electronic devices when you are away from the wall socket. And when you go to travel, some electronic devices will definitely not be able to provide the electricity you need for travel, so “it” can help you solve it. Do you know what is called power bank?

The portable power bank is controlled by a special battery and a special circuit under special circumstances. They allow you to store electrical energy and then use it to charge mobile devices. And the mobile power source may also be called a power station or battery pack.

There are three main types of power banks found on the market today:

1. Universal power bank. They are available in a variety of sizes and configurations, which can be customized according to your equipment requirements and budget.

2. Solar power bank. They have photovoltaic panels that can trickle charge the internal batteries in the sun. Solar charging is not fast, so they can usually be charged via cable.

3. The third type of power bank is the old battery phone case. Although they are convenient, the device compatibility of this type of power bank is very limited.

What we are talking about here is the mobile power bank that everyone often sees or uses frequently. It is suitable for almost all USB charging devices. Cameras, GoPros, portable speakers, GPS systems, MP3 players, smartphones and even some tablets can be charged by power banks-almost everything that is charged by USB at home can be charged by power banks! And generally ordinary mobile power can support your mobile phone several times from zero to 100% power. But it depends on the specifications and capacity of your mobile power supply, and then combined with your mobile device, this can clearly calculate how long the mobile power supply can provide power for your mobile device!
