What are the benefits of switching to Google Pixel?

Are you looking for a smartphone that integrates Google Photos, Chrome, Gmail and Google Drive? If so, Pixel may be a good choice for you. Google offers many iterations of its Pixel phones, including Pixel 4A and Pixel 5, as well as the new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro, which are now equipped with the company’s in-house Tensor chip.

Pixel phones are known for taking beautiful photos. But it’s not just having great cameras and luxurious hardware: the software and services associated with the phone are also important. Let’s take a look at some of them.

Unlimited storage space for Google Photos

One of the reasons to buy a Pixel is the unlimited storage space in Google Photos. Unlike other non-Pixel phones, Pixel phones do not have a data limit for backing up photos to the cloud. The photos you take on the Pixel will be saved in their original quality and will not be compressed automatically to save space.

Later Pixel phones, such as the recently released Pixel 5 and Pixel 4A 5G, allowed unlimited photos to be uploaded with compressed storage saver quality. Google outlines the rules for each Pixel phone on this support page.

Unfortunately, it seems that the 2020 Pixel phone may be the last phone to gain the advantage of unlimited storage. According to media reports such as The Verge and Tom’s Guide, Google does not intend to extend this advantage to the next wave of Pixel phones.

No bloated software

The threat of unwanted applications, services, and often redundant software features continues to plague most Android phones subsidized by US wireless carriers. This is not the case with Google Pixel phones. What you get is the original Android operating system originally designed by Google, which is not obscured by weird skins, proprietary overlays, or weird user interfaces.

The latest Android operating system update

In addition to unrestricted photo storage, Google also promised to update its Pixel phones as a priority. Whenever a new Android operating system version or security patch is released, it will arrive at Pixels first. This includes new features that are independent of full operating system updates.

Google Fi is always an option

Although not a strong force in the wireless carrier market, Google does provide its own cellular service for mobile devices. Called Google Fi, this MVNO-style system provides a pay-as-you-go data plan. It also uses technology that can seamlessly switch between Wi-Fi and cellular networks during voice calls.

All Pixel phones have a version specifically designed to run on Google Fi. These phones are also unlocked, so you can port them to other carriers as needed.

However, when choosing Pixel 6 or Pixel 6 Pro, things become more complicated. Google sells three types: Verizon, Google Fi (unlocked version) and unlocked version (no specific operator). The model without a designated operator will be applicable to all major U.S. operator networks. In other words, not all of them are fully compatible with every operator’s 5G network.

Suppress spam

If you are regularly attacked by a large number of unpopular scams or shady marketing calls, then you will find this Pixel feature very compelling. The Pixel Call Screen function in the mobile app works with Google Assistant to prevent robots from calling you. Together, they can prevent unknown callers from ringing your phone, or block incoming calls for you in real time.

Clear the cache and cookies on the Android phone web browser-make it the best

Your Android phone’s web browser may collect a lot of data while browsing the Internet. This data usually fills your web browser’s cache and cookies, and can help improve the browser’s loading speed by saving assets of websites you visit frequently and saving preferences. However, websites can also use cookies to track your browsing history, usually for the purpose of providing personalized advertisements where you are almost everywhere. In addition, the larger the browser cache, the more bloated the browser application will be due to data from websites you may no longer visit-but some of their assets and possibly some tracking cookies may remain there.

Therefore, there is no harm in erasing this data occasionally to keep your web browser streamlined, efficient and ideal, and to store as few tracking cookies as possible.

On Android, the steps are slightly different depending on the type of phone and web browser application you are using, so below we will introduce how to clear this data on Google’s Chrome, Samsung’s Internet browser and Mozilla’s Firefox browser .Let’s take a look at the specific operation!

Google Chrome

You can first click the “More” button (indicated by three vertical dots) in the upper right corner of your browser, then click “History” and “Clear browsing data” to delete your cookies and cache from Google Chrome for Android. You can also access this feature from the Chrome Settings menu, click Privacy and Security, and then click Clear browsing data.

Chrome then provides basic and advanced settings for clearing browsing history, cookies and site data, and cached images and files. You can also use the “Time Range” drop-down menu to choose whether you want to delete the entire history, or any time from the past 24 hours to the past 4 weeks. If you want, clicking “Advanced” will also give you access to delete saved passwords, auto-fill form data, and site settings. After selecting the content you want to delete, click the blue clear data button, and then it will be deleted without any other prompts, so make sure you are switching exactly what you want.

Samsung Internet

Unlike Google Chrome, Samsung’s process of deleting cache and cookie data involves accessing the phone’s settings application instead of opening Samsung’s Internet browser application. Operation: After opening the settings, click on the application, then scroll down and click on Samsung Internet. Then click Save. At the bottom of Storage, you can get separate options for Clear cache and Clear data. Clicking Clear Cache will delete the cache immediately, but clearing the data will bring you a reminder that all data of the application will be permanently deleted, including files, settings, accounts, databases, etc.

Firefox browser

You can clear cookies and cache from the Mozilla Firefox Android application. To access, click the More button on the right side of the address bar, again represented by three vertical dots. Then click Settings and scroll down to delete browsing data. Firefox provides you with the most options under the delete browsing data menu, allowing you to also delete any existing open tabs, your browsing history and site data, site permissions, and even your download folders, cookies and cached images and document.

For those users who do not want to keep browsing data after using the application, Firefox also provides an additional option. There is an option to delete browsing data on exit in the settings, which instructs Firefox to erase any combination of these same settings every time you exit the application.

Show you the hidden features of Android 12 on Pixel 6

Google’s latest mobile operating system, Android 12, began to roll out immediately after the arrival of the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro this fall. Android 12 has many new features that are different from Android 11, including new privacy tools, a redesign called Material You, and more. These features have not yet been announced, but you must dig into the operating system to find them. Here are four hidden features of Android 12, let’s take a look!

Android 12 puts your notification history at your fingertips

Android has provided device notification history for some time, but you must either know where to view it or you must install a third-party app to see it.

In Android 12, all you have to do is scroll to the bottom of the notification bar, where you will see a new “History” button. Click on it and you will see the most recently cleared notifications and alerts from the past 24 hours. If you see Manage instead of History, it is because the notification history is not turned on. Enable it by clicking Manage, then select Notification History and slide the switch to the on position.

Android 12 makes big phones feel smaller

The new one-handed mode in Android 12 may not be an important feature, but it may have a major impact on the way you use your phone. The new one-handed mode moves the upper half of any content on the screen to the lower half, making it easier to click on the quick setting tiles or notifications.

To use it, place your finger on the small strip at the bottom of the phone screen and swipe down. However, before you do this, you need to turn it on by going to “Settings”> “System”> “Gestures”> “One-handed Mode” and sliding the switch to the “On” position. Below the switch that enables this feature, you have two options: zoom the screen closer or show notifications. Select the first option and close the “Settings” application.

There is a dedicated game mode in Android 12

When it is turned on, your phone will do some things, such as automatically turning on Do not disturb when you turn it on. Action: Go to “Settings”> “Notifications”> “Do Not Disturb”> “Schedule”. There, check the box next to Game Mode to turn it on. Next, click the settings gear icon and switch between these two items.

Android 12 has a new app layout option, but it may only be available for Pixel

The application grid on the phone’s home screen is usually a 4×4, 5×5, or 6×6 grid. However, in Android 12 on Pixel 5, there is a new app grid option that is very interesting at first glance-2×2. I think this is limited to Pixel phones, but hope that other phone manufacturers adopt it, because it is a huge accessibility feature for those who need larger app icons. Operation: Long press on the home screen to switch to the new 2×2 layout, then select Style and Wallpaper>Grid>2×2.

2 new features of Google Maps you need to know

I believe that many of you should have used Google Maps! Do you know 2 new features of Google Maps? They will provide you with great help in places you are not familiar with! For example: when you are late, you can also use Google Maps to let your family know where you are. In addition, you can book in advance through the app without having to call the restaurant. We will tell you all the ways that Google Maps can help you spend your vacation smoothly, and how to use all seven features.

Navigate through airports, shopping malls and transit stations

If you need to quickly find a store in a large shopping mall, Google Maps is expanding its catalog tab for all airports, shopping malls, and transit stations, which it announced in November. This helps prevent running around at the airport, trying to find a place to eat, or buying souvenirs at the last minute before catching a flight.

Browse Google Maps to see how busy a place is

Google has added a new feature to its busy tool on Google Maps. Previously, you needed to search for a location to see a graph showing its congestion level in real time. But now, a new feature called “area busyness” allows you to see when the entire map area is blocked by people.

With this new feature, you can open the Google Maps app on your Android or iPhone, and then move around on the map to find the approximate area. Busy information is now automatically displayed on the map, so you don’t need to specifically search for a place to see how crowded it is. Google Maps may display words such as “Busy Area”, and when you click to see more details, it may display “As Busy as possible.”

Track your trip in Google Maps

Of course, Google Maps can draw your travel map, but it can also quickly display your vacation flights, hotels, car rentals, and restaurant reservations, saving you the trouble of searching for check-in times and confirmation numbers in emails.

To view your upcoming reservations:

1. In Google Maps, click Save in the bottom menu row.

2. Click to book. Here, you will see a list of upcoming reservations that the map extracted from emails in Gmail.

3. Select an item to view more information about the reservation, including date and location.

4. You can also search for “My Reservations” in the Google Map search box to view the list of your reservations.

Reserve restaurants directly in Google Maps

Google Maps can help you book lunch or dinner.

1. In the “Map”, click the “Restaurant” button at the top of the map to view a list of dining establishments.

2. Choose a restaurant that looks good, and in the pop-up window, reserve a table or join the waiting list, if it provides you with that option.

Use Google Maps offline

Go to a remote place where you may not have a mobile network connection? When you are offline, Google Maps can still provide you with directions. The operation is as follows:

1. Before departure, search for the location where you need the route on the map.

2. In the position window, pull up the bottom menu.

3. Scroll the tab to the right and click Download, then click Download again in the next window. The map will download the map of the selected area to your phone.

Now, when you use Google Maps to find directions in the area where you downloaded the map, the map will switch to an offline map to guide you when you lose your cellular connection.

Find electric car charging stations and gas stations anytime, anywhere

If you’re going to take an electric car out for shopping, dinner, or vacation, Google Maps can help you find the electric car charging station on your route and the estimated waiting time for the charging port. You can also filter the search by connector type to view only sites that are compatible with your EV.

1. On the map, scroll the tabs at the top of the screen, and then tap More.

2. Scroll down to the service section and select Electric car charging.

3. The map will show nearby charging stations and the number of available charging stations.

4. Tap the charging station on the map to let the map add it as a stop in the itinerary.

Share your location via Google Maps

Google Maps can help everyone get together again.

1. In Google Maps, tap the profile icon in the upper right corner, then tap location sharing.

2. Tap Share location and choose who you want to share your location with and when you want to share it.

3. Tap Share and Google Maps will send your location to everyone you choose.

4. If you want to view the location of another person, click the person’s icon at the top of the window, and then click Request.

To prevent Google from tracking you, just change these settings!

Google is tracking you, did you know? If you are using any Google application, you are most likely being tracked. Even if you turn off location history in your Google account, some Google applications are still storing
your location data. Google’s support page on this matter stated that even if it is closed, “some location data may continue to be saved in other settings.” Google tells us that it uses this data to make features more personalized and useful, and that this information will never be shared with third parties or advertisers. However, if you are still dissatisfied with this, just take a few more steps and you can usually prevent Google from knowing your location 24/7.

Please note that turning off this default setting does have some disadvantages. Although Google’s settings may seem annoying to some people, they can also help foster a hyper-personalized online experience. According to Google, they help provide users with more relevant information, rather than random information. Let’s take a look!

Here’s how to actually turn off Google tracking, and what the results of doing so might be.

If you want to completely turn off Google’s ability to record your location:

1. Open Google.com on your desktop or mobile browser.

2. In the upper right corner, if you have not logged into your Google account.

3. Choose to manage your Google account.

4. In the Privacy and Personalization box, select Manage your data and personalization.

5. Scroll down to active controls, and then select Manage your active controls.

6. There you will see a box called Web & App Activity. From there, you can slide the toggle switch to off.

7. Before choosing Pause, there will be an explanation to make sure you understand the effect of disabling this setting.

What will this prevent Google from storing?

Turning off this setting prevents Google from storing location markers related to certain actions and stops storing information collected from searches or other activities. Turn it off to keep your general location and other places you’ve been confidential.

Please note that to use some features effectively, Google still needs access to your location information. However, completing the above steps will prevent it from storing any of your future activities. However, you can grant Google permission to use your precise location to get the best and most accurate search results related to your location.

What are the pros and cons of turning off Google tracking?

Turning off tracking means that you will see less relevant ads, useful search suggestions, and generally get a less personalized experience when using search engines and their applications and services. For people who like personalized advertising, turning off tracking will prevent Google from predicting what you might care about. However, for those who put privacy above everything else, turning off this setting may be worth the loss of specificity.

Summary: You can maintain your privacy and lose your personalized Internet experience, or continue to see relevant advertisements and search suggestions instead of more random, unfiltered information.

If I turn off this Google setting, will I lose any saved data?

No, your saved data will remain unchanged. Disabling tracking will prevent Google from storing future information with location attachments, but will not delete any previous data it has collected. To delete the location history information, please follow the steps below:

1. On your browser, go to the Google homepage and make sure you are logged in. Click the profile icon in the upper right corner and select Manage your Google account.

2. Select the data and personalization on the left toolbar or select the check box on the manage your data and personalization page. Both options will take you to the same place.

3. Under the activity control, select location history.

4. Choose Manage Events and it will take you to the Google Timeline.

5. In the lower right corner, click the settings icon to the map button to the left immediately, and then choose to delete all location records.

6. Check this box to indicate that you understand and want to delete all location records.

7. Click Delete location history.

To manually delete your web and application activity records, please follow the steps below:

1. On your computer, go to myactivity.google.com.

2. Under Search your activity, click Delete.

3. Click All time.

4. Click Next, and then click Delete to confirm.

Customize quick settings menu tiles on Android 12-make your phone better serve you

The purpose of everyone using mobile phones is to make mobile phones serve us better, so customizing the quick setting menu tiles on Android 12 is conducive to our use of mobile phones, and sometimes saves us unnecessary time.

So, what is the function of customizing the quick setting menu tiles?

The function is to give you instant access to settings such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, as well as new options such as disabling access to the camera or microphone within the system.

Here’s how to customize and rearrange the setting blocks to make them easier to use. We are using Pixel 6 Pro, but the process should be the same for any phone running Android 12. Let’s take a look!

First, drag down from the top edge of the phone to pull down the settings menu. You will see the first four settings first, so pull down these settings again to expand it.

Now you will see more settings icons, but you will also see a small pencil icon below them. Click on it and the list will expand to show all available icons. Now you can click and hold on individual tiles, and then move them into an order that makes more sense to you.

But you can also drag them further down and delete them from the quick access menu. For example, if you never use Google Pay or Invert Colors, it makes sense for you to remove them from the list to clean up and make it easier to see the tools you really need.

But you will also see other tiles that may not yet appear in your quick settings menu. You can tap, hold and drag them up to your list to show them when you swipe down. Remember that the four settings tiles at the top will be the first settings tiles that appear when you swipe to open the menu, so make sure your most frequently used settings are displayed here.

Once you have rearranged the tiles exactly the way you want, just swipe up to close the panel and everything is ready.

Do Google’s Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro support 5G? How should you choose?

The new Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro launched by Google at the Pixel event on October 19 seem to be ready to compete with the iPhone 13 and Galaxy S21 and become the best phones of 2021. They have impressive cameras, fast processors and stylish designs. At least in the first few days of booking, the difference between Google and its Apple and Samsung competitors is whether its new phones can be used with the latest 5G networks. If you are considering buying Google’s latest phone, what should you know? please watch the following part!

If you want to answer it, this is a very complicated answer. This question seems to explain a mix of several unclear web pages from the search giant. Google’s main Pixel 6 and 6 Pro technical specifications page lists two different models: one that supports all types of 5G-millimeter wave and “Sub-6” (this is a term that includes 5G in the low and mid-range bands) ——-The other supports Sub-6 network but not millimeter wave.

A support page also said that the Pixel 6 will support all the flavors of 5G in the United States, while the 6 Pro will be limited to just millimeter wave flavors.

For Pixel 6, Google initially seemed to be sending mixed messages. Depending on the page you view and the rules, the device may or may not be listed, and can be used with all versions of your carrier’s 5G network. And there seems to be a difference, both in terms of equipment and pricing. Verizon confirmed to CNET that purchasing a Pixel 6 or 6 Pro directly from Verizon will provide you with a mobile phone that is suitable for all its 5G, millimeter wave and Sub-6 versions.

On Wednesday afternoon, Google confirmed to CNET that the unlocked Pixel 6 provided by its store will only support Sub-6 5G networks of all three US operators. However, the unlocked Pixel 6 Pro will be suitable for millimeter wave and Sub-6 versions of 5G.

Millimeter wave is the fastest 5G version. Its download speed can reach a few gigabits per second, but its coverage is very limited, especially outdoors. It may be limited to a few selected blocks in the city or part of the stadium. It is also difficult to penetrate indoors.

Low-band 5G provides the best coverage and can work normally indoors, but its speed is usually equivalent to a good 4G LTE connection.

IF 5G, as the name suggests, provides a middle ground between the two: speeds are much faster than 4G LTE, while still covering a wider area and working indoors. T-Mobile is by far the most active operator among US operators deploying mid-frequency 5G (so-called super-capacity). It has previously stated that it plans to cover 200 million people across the country through this service by the end of 2021.

AT&T and Verizon both spent billions of dollars this year to purchase intermediate frequency spectrum called C-band, and both plan to start deploying these networks at the end of this year and early 2022.

Both operators stated on October 19 that the Pixel 6 and 6 Pro they sell should be compatible with their respective C-band networks. T-Mobile said on October 20 that both Pixel phones will support its C-band network, which is scheduled to be launched at the end of 2023.

Google said on October 21 that unlocked Pixels will be able to get software updates to support C-band, but operators need to authenticate unlocked phones to allow devices to work on their respective networks.

What should you do when faced with such a situation?

Currently, carrier support for Pixel 6 is a big issue. No one wants to buy a mobile phone, finds that it does not work as expected, then has to return it and go through the process again. But for now, the only way to know that you get a Pixel that works with your carrier is to buy it directly from that carrier. Purchasing in this way seems to be the safest way to ensure that the Pixel you get will work with the major network improvements that the two carriers will provide in the next few years.

Android 12: Can your Google phone be downloaded and installed? How to download and install it?

Everyone already knows that Android 12 has been released and is available for many mobile phones. Do you know whether your phone can be downloaded and installed? If so, how should I download and install it? Let’s take a look together!

Google released Android 12 at its Pixel conference on Tuesday. The new operating system includes a number of new features and changes, as well as new privacy tools. The most notable update is a new design that changes the entire appearance of Android, called Material You. Some specific new features are not here today like you guys talk about, today I mainly talk about whether your phone can be installed and how to install it?

Currently, you can only download Android 12 for some Pixel devices:

Pixel 3

Pixel 3 XL

Pixel 3A

Pixel 3A XL

Pixel 4

Pixel 4A

Pixel 4A (5G)

Pixel 5

Pixel 5A

Pixel 6

Pixel 6 Pro

If your phone is not a Google phone, it will take a while. According to reports, Android 12 will be available on Samsung Galaxy, OnePlus, Oppo, Realme, Tecno, Vivo and Xiaomi smartphones later this year.

So how should I download Android 12 on my Pixel phone?

Here are the steps I took to manually download Android 12 on Pixel 5 after the release:

1. Open the settings application.

2. Scroll down and tap system.

3. Click System Update.

4. If the option is available, click “Check for Updates” or start downloading Android 12.

Google Pixel 6 release date later than iPhone 13? ——Maybe October 28

Although we have just heard a rumor that Google Pixel 6 and Google Pixel 6 Pro will be revealed on September 13, new rumors claim that Google will launch these two phones in mid-October, with the release date of Google’s Pixel 6. October 28.

The leaker Jon Prosser announced the new date through Front Page Tech; he quoted his own sources, stating that the release date of Google Pixel 6 is October 28th, and that the phone will be available in stores on October 38th. All of them will open for pre-order on October 19. Although he is not sure when the expected Google conference will be held, he guessed that the timing of the release should be real.

In the post, Prosser told the media (including TechRadar) that the statement came from the Weibo of the leaker Bald Panda. According to Prosser, it makes no sense for Google to try to beat Apple in the market, especially because it violates the typical release window of the two companies.

Let’s take a look!
It makes sense for Google to maintain its usual October release window, especially if there are rumors that Apple will release it on September 14. Google has launched every flagship Pixel phone in October, although it rebounded within two months when the later Nexus phones were released.

Although Apple has been launching the iPhone in September, last year’s Covid-related delays caused the larger iPhone 12 Pro Max and the smaller iPhone 12 mini to be released later in October. We haven’t heard much about whether Apple expects the same supply problems this year, but either way, Google will face an uphill battle trying to steal the spotlight from the latest iPhone.

However, we will not short the Pixel 6: the new Google-built Tensor chipset bundled with its eye-catching new (officially announced) design and Android 12 features may make it a contender in flagship phones.
