The Amazfit T-Rex 3 smartwatch is draining battery faster than usual after a recent software update. According to multiple user reports on Reddit, the watch is now draining nearly twice as much battery as usual per day. However, one user has suggested the cause and fix for the problem.

A member of the Amazfit team has confirmed the issue and asked users to submit feedback accordingly under Device  User Feedback in the Zepp app. However, the company has not indicated when an official fix for the battery drain issue will be released. It is not clear whether Amazfit has paused the phased rollout of software version 3.4.4.7 until it fixes this issue for the T-Rex 3 smartwatch.

Inside the Samsung Galaxy Tab S2 is the Samsung Exynos 7 Octa 5433 SoC, the exact same octa-core processor found in the Exynos Galaxy Note 4. That means we’re looking at a 1.9 GHz quad-core ARM Cortex-A57 CPU paired with a 1.3 GHz quad-core Cortex-A53, as well as a 700 MHz Mali-T760MP6 GPU, and a 64-bit LPDDR3 memory controller supporting 13.2 GB/s bandwidth, connected to 3 GB of RAM.
The Tab S2 is slightly faster than the original iPad Air, though, and overall the tablet is 55% faster than its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S.

In our series of benchmarks (some of which are shown below), the iPad Air 2 was slightly more than twice as fast on average, while Google’s Nexus 9 also pulled ahead in GPU performance.
The battery capacity itself isn’t particularly large, which is to be expected given the size of the tablet, and when paired with a fairly power-hungry SoC and display, it can’t quite match some of the better tablets on the market in terms of battery life. That being said, despite the lower-than-expected battery life, I never found this to be an issue in general use. The improvement I’d most like to see is in standby Galaxy Tab S2 battery life, as that would allow the tablet to last longer without a charger, which is a typical use case for a tablet.

In short, I wouldn’t pick the Aspire Go 14 if you want to excel in video calls. The 720p camera is below average and looks muddy and washed out. Maybe get a separate webcam? The battery life, excellent typing experience, and enough power for basic tasks make it a solid Chromebook competitor. One aspect of this laptop that may be off-putting for many is the lack of storage, although you can carry a USB drive with you for files and other media.

The only main reason to go with the Intel model is that it’s available in a 15-inch model in addition to the 14-inch model. The good news is that the typing experience on this Acer is very good. Budget laptops often cut corners on the keyboard, but that’s not the case with this one. The keys have plenty of travel, are well-spaced, and the keyboard deck doesn’t have a ton of flex like other cheap laptops. Speaking of the chassis, it feels pretty solid overall. The Aspire is a little thick, but that makes it sturdy and doesn’t feel cheap despite the heavy use of plastic. It’s not particularly pretty, but Acer gets some style points with the tasteful text logo on the lid. (For some reason, I was really drawn to the “Aspire” text on the bottom.
