Bose SoundLink Flex Review: Does It Surpass the SoundLink Mini 2?

Bose has launched the SoundLink Flex, a particularly compact and powerful Bluetooth speaker. In a way, this speaker is similar to the SoundLink Mini 2, one of the most popular speakers in recent years. So, can Bose build on the success of the previous model and even improve it a bit? We tested this Bluetooth speaker in a nutshell
In our tests, the Soundlink Flex proved to be a worthy (spiritual) successor to the Soundlink Mini 2  Bluetooth speaker battery, which means that it is particularly impressive in terms of sound and Soundlink Flex battery life. The fact that multiple Bose speakers can be connected in party mode is also very practical.
In addition to this, there is also the function of automatically adjusting the sound when lying down; however, the Bose Soundlink Flex is too little in terms of features overall. But if you care about design, sound and Bose Soundlink Flex Bluetooth speaker battery, you can buy it with confidence!
Design and processingWith dimensions of 9 cm x 20.1 cm x 5.2 cm and a weight of 0.6 kg, Bose’s Soundlink Flex is a very compact Bluetooth speaker. The manufacturer opted for a sturdy steel housing and a silicone coating. While it is certainly practical that the manufacturer installed a fixing strap, the Soundlink Flex lacks connectivity. Because: there is only USB-C charging! The manufacturer provided us with the Soundlink Flex in carmine red for this test report. This color variant is only available on Amazon, or you can also choose between stone blue, cypress green, white and black. Bose therefore covers a wide range of colors, and I have to say subjectively that I really like the crimson variant.
The workmanship of the Soundlink Flex is also impeccable. Bose seals the Bluetooth speaker to IP67, the majority of the housing is made of non-slip silicone, and the speaker grilles on the front and back are powder-coated. This should make the speaker particularly robust.
Although our test sample is not brand new and may have passed through several editorial offices, I did not find any scratches or other defects. A small special feature: the Soundlink Flex floats – so you can just throw it into the pool and listen to music in the water.
With a weight of 0.6 kg, the Soundlink Flex is also very portable. You can also attach the speaker to a backpack or belt loop using a carabiner or a fixing knot. This is very practical for listening to music in the park or while riding a bike. By the way, the ring is made of finely woven fabric, which also feels nice and of good quality. However, there is one major drawback to the design of the Soundlink Flex: there is only one USB-C slot on the board. This means that you cannot connect any input device to the speaker via a cable. The included charging cable is also USB-C to USB Type A – by 2024, I hope there will be USB-C on both sides.
App and convenient featuresTo control the Soundlink Flex, Bose provides a companion app that you can install on iOS and Android. However, the Bose Connect app offers you rather few settings options – but it is (again) beautifully designed! If you want to use the Soundlink Flex, we recommend that you download the companion app “Bose Connect App”. You can use it to check the “Bose Soundlink Flex Bluetooth speaker battery level of the speaker and how many devices the speaker is connected to. It is also possible to switch between multiple devices, despite the lack of multi-pairing functionality (i.e. connecting to multiple devices at the same time).
Battery and chargingAccording to the manufacturer, the Soundlink Flex can last up to 12 hours when listening to music. Charging is done via USB-C only and you need to set aside a full four hours for a full charge. There is no fast charging feature or option to use the Soundlink Flex as a power bank. The maximum Soundlink Flex battery life is 12 hours, which is impressive in terms of Soundlink Flex batterylife. However, this value can only be realized in everyday life if you don’t turn the Bluetooth speaker fully on. With mixed usage behavior, the runtime drops to about 9 – 10 hours. In most usage scenarios, this is still a good value and you should be able to cope.

itel S32 LTE Review: Consider this Phone!

I have been using the S32 LTE for quite some time, though not as a full-time everyday device but as a secondary device that I have used on several occasions, and I wanted to share with you in this full review what I really like about the shiny gold plastic finish itel S32 LTE, which is available on Jumia for Ksh14500.
Firstly, it looks good. One might assume it is a metal device. Even so, it is a metal device from a more well-known mid-range to premium manufacturer. I am not saying that itel is not a well-known premium manufacturer. They are part of the TECNO and INFINIX company called Transsion Holdings, which certainly puts them at the top of the list. But for a long time, many people associated the itel brand with cheap feature phones. As a result, most people automatically gave up on buying an itel branded smartphone.itel S32 LTE Smartphone Battery.itel S32 LTELooks Really GreatHowever, things are changing. I feel that this S32 LTE device is a statement device that the company is asking us to consider buying an itel device. Firstly, the price is definitely on the high side for a 2GB RAM phone with LTE support, 16GB storage and an 8MP rear camera. It would be pretty good if they offered this device for around Ksh 10,000. At this price, they would definitely be competing with bigger devices like the Infinix Note 4, Infinix Hot 6 and the TECNO Camon series. However, I feel like they chose this price point to make a point: they can make a good phone and demand a fair comparison with the big brands.
Dual front cameras:Having dual front cameras makes no sense to me, though. There is no bokeh effect, not even an artificial attempt at one. Why do you need two front cameras? One camera is 8MP and the other is 2MP. But I feel like there are issues here. Software:Running Android Nougat is not my issue with this phone. I know as a backup phone, it really doesn’t matter. But the customizations are too colorful for my taste. There are colors on the quick settings and there are colors in the settings app: blue, red, white, black. I prefer more subtle skins, the itel skin is too much. It may look great on others, but not on me.

Lenovo ThinkPad T410 Review

Lenovo proved at CES in January that its reputation when it comes to the latest generation of laptop technology is well-deserved. The company’s lineup ranges from small to large, catering to everyone from casual travelers to hardcore business users. There are also one or two machines aimed at gaming and multimedia users, although at first glance you might not guess that the ThinkPad T410 falls into that category. That machine, along with the T410, T510, and W510, all received a major upgrade last month with Intel’s latest Core i5 and Core i7 processors, injecting much-needed life into the traditionally sturdy and plain ThinkPad line. The T410 we’re reviewing today is a ThinkPad through and through. From top to bottom and edge to edge, there’s no doubt that this is a member of the iconic ThinkPad family. It’s finished in matte black and its styling is a little bland, but it’s built to last. Sounds like a ThinkPad, right? It has the same exterior that loyal Lenovo users know and love, but it’s the selection of components inside that we’re really interested in. Can the ThinkPad T410 maintain its all-business status while still performing at a level acceptable to multimedia enthusiasts?LenovoThinkPadT410 Laptop BatteryThose expecting the T410 to be a dramatic change from the T400 and T400s we reviewed will be sorely disappointed. Almost everything from the chassis to the keyboard to the trackpad is typical ThinkPad, but the Core i5 CPU (the Core i5-540M, to be specific) is a stark departure from last year’s ThinkPad options. It’s new on the inside, old on the outside — will that be enough to convince existing ThinkPad owners to upgrade? More importantly, will it entice any new customers who have so far resisted buying a machine with a blue “Enter” key? Read on for our full review to find out.

HP Envy 16 laptop review: A versatile dream machine

The HP Envy 16 is an excellent, high-end laptop that I fell in love with almost immediately. Spending more time with the Envy 16 only reinforces my belief that this is probably one of the best all-around choices. Whether it’s for work, personal use, or casual gaming, the Envy 16 has you covered.
Inside, you’ll find powerful specs matched to a sleek aluminum chassis that give this laptop an overall premium vibe. It’s equipped with a 12th-generation Intel Core i9 CPU, an incredible 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060 GPU with 6GB of VRAM to run new games with ease. Of course, powerful specs mean nothing without a gorgeous display, but luckily the HP Envy 16 fits that bill as well, with a stunning 16-inch 4K OLED display.
Is the Envy 16 one of the best gaming laptops? Probably not, especially when compared to laptops designed for gaming, like the Envy 16’s gaming competitor, the Asus ROG Strix Scar 17 . But compared to some of the best high-end laptops built for content creators, like Dell’s Precision 5470, the Envy 16 could easily fool you into thinking it was built just for gaming. It’s cool to the touch — sturdy, but not too heavy. It looks beautiful on a desk, and it’s also good for the environment. It’s a win-win-win.
As Billy Mays would say, “But wait, there’s more!” Once you open the Envy 16, you’re greeted by a stunning 16-inch display with thin side bezels that aren’t too noticeable except for the larger bottom bezel. The island-style keyboard is sandwiched between two speakers, and the word “Envy” is printed in a modern box font.
Flip the Envy 16 over, and there’s a long fan vent that takes up almost half of the bottom of the laptop. Two thin rubber strips (one on the front of the laptop, the other near the hinge) hold the laptop up, giving all that hot air some breathing room. Then, on the left and right corners of the front, you’ll find two speaker grilles. HP ENVY 16 PerformanceAs a reminder, the HP Envy 16 is equipped with a 12th-generation Intel Core i9-12900H CPU, 32GB of DDR5 RAM (plus 6GB of dedicated VRAM), and a 2TB TLC M.2 SSD.
With up to 32GB of RAM, it’s no surprise that the Envy 16 was able to handle everything I threw at it. I fired up YouTube and Netflix on Google Chrome and played a video each, with about 30 other tabs open from different websites. The fans were barely audible, the laptop didn’t get hot at all, and I could still type in Google Docs without any lag.
The Envy 16 scored extremely well on the Geekbench 5.4 overall performance benchmark, with a score of 11,621, but not as good as the Strix Scar 17 (13,209). The Dell Precision 5470 scored very similarly to the Envy 16 (11,040), but the average premium laptop scored about half as much (5,895).
On the Handbrake test, the Envy 16 transcoded a 4K video to 1080p in just 6 minutes and 10 seconds, beating the 9:58 average for premium laptops. The Dell Precision 5470 took an extra 18 seconds (6:28); the Strix Scar 17 surpassed the Envy 16 with an impressive 4:42. HP ENVY 16 BATTERY LIFEWith the HP Envy 16, you can have your cake and eat it too. What I mean by that is, you get powerful specs with great performance and pretty goodHP Envy 16 battery life. The Envy 16 lasted 9 hours and 21 minutes on the Laptop Mag Battery Test, which involves continuous web surfing over Wi-Fi at 150 nits of brightness.
While the Envy 16’s battery life is good enough for a full workday, it’s a bit below average compared with other premium laptops. The average for premium laptops is 10 hours and 35 minutes. The Envy 16’s content creator competitor, the Dell Precision 5470, lasted even longer, at 11 hours and 38 minutes.
The Envy 16’s gaming competitor, the Asus Strix Scar 17 (2022) G733Z, can’t even come close to the web-surfing Asus Strix Scar 17 batterylife. The Strix Scar 17 lasted just 6 hours and 20 minutes, a full three hours less than the Envy 16. However, we also tested the Envy 16’s battery life (PCMark 10) while gaming. It lasted 1 hour and 20 minutes, while the Strix Scar 17 lasted 1 hour and 10 minutes. For both laptops, it’s a smart idea to keep them plugged in while gaming — but the fan noise will be louder if you do so.

Sony WF-XB700 True Wireless Earphones Review

For their price, the Sony WF-XB700 True Wireless Earphones are a solid choice. They’re a marked improvement over the original WF-1000X and WF-SP700N, and are without a doubt our second favorite pair of Sony True Wireless Earphones.
They’re the result of years of hard work by Sony’s audio design team, which started with the controversial Sony WF-1000X and the sports-focused Sony WF-SP700N, before building the near-perfect Sony WF-1000XM3 with active noise cancellation.
The latter are still the best True Wireless Earphones Sony has yet to make… but the WF-XB700 (reviewed here) are a more affordable, more accessible, and potentially more widely appealing pair that rivals the Apple AirPods in many ways.
The Sony WF-XB700s have a lot going for them. They have fun, vibrant sound, are comfortable for long listening sessions, and have a total battery life of 18 hours. We don’t like their radar dish shape and lack of noise cancellation, but there’s no doubt that these are Sony’s second-best true wireless earbuds. They’re the result of years of hard work by Sony’s audio design team, which started with the controversial Sony WF-1000X and the sports-focused Sony WF-SP700N, before creating the near-perfect Sony WF-1000XM3 with active noise cancellation.
The latter is still the best true wireless earbuds Sony has yet to make… but the WF-XB700 (reviewed here) are more affordable, more accessible, and potentially more widely appealing, rivaling the Apple AirPods in many ways. DesignThe way Sony made these earbuds gives them a more space-age feel than other true wireless earbuds it’s made in the past, which have tried to be sleek and sporty. That’s because Sony typically opts for round, rectangular earbuds that look like little beans.
The WF-XB700 does share some design language with its predecessor, but the exterior looks almost like a satellite-like dish. While it’s easy to focus on some of the downsides, like the polarizing design, lackluster mids, and lack of noise cancellation, these earbuds have a lot going for them. Honestly, they’re a decent Apple AirPods competitor: they’re priced right, sound good, and even have better battery life.
They’re not perfect, and could even be improved with some simple tweaks, like adding aptX support and adding an auto-pause feature to save Sony WF-XB700 battery life, but even without those features, they’re still our second favorite pair of Sony true wireless earbuds, and worth buying if you want solid sound and long-lastingSony WF-XB700 battery  life.

Lenovo ThinkBook 13x review (Intel Core-Evo, 16:10 touchscreen)

It’s been a while since I last reviewed a true ultrabook, so I was excited to borrow some devices from Lenovo and give them a try. In this review, I’ll be taking a look at the Lenovo ThinkBook 13x, one of Lenovo’s current ultraportable solutions for business use.
This laptop is aimed at minimalists who want a small and light laptop that still has enough power to handle daily use and daily multitasking. Like many other modern ultraportables, it offers a productivity-oriented 16:10 display, uncompromising inputs, top-notch build quality, and Intel’s Tiger Lake hardware platform paired with a large Lenovo ThinkBook battery . However, it only offers miniaturized IO and is, at least for now, quite expensive at launch.
I also have to mention that this series is very close to Lenovo’s ThinkPad X1 Nano series, but there are some differences between the two in terms of design, screen, and battery, the latter two in favor of this ThinkBook 13x series.
So let’s see how this model performs.
Review Specs – Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Design and BuildThe Lenovo ThinkBook 13x feels like a premium laptop right out of the box. The all-metal construction feels solid, but the body is still lightweight. It’s also very thin, so it’s as easy to hold in your hands as a hardcover book. I guess that’s what they were going for, right?
The lid itself is made from a solid piece of grey anodized aluminum. It has a two-tone finish that looks cool, but still looks professional. The standard Lenovo logo is in the upper corner, and the ThinkBook logo is in the opposite corner. I personally would rather not have such a big shiny logo, but it looks pretty good. The underside of the laptop is clean. There are plenty of vents to bring in fresh air to cool the CPU. The feet are a good size to keep the laptop stable on a desk and allow for airflow. The vents exhaust air onto the screen, though.
Overall, I’d give this laptop a good score for its build and design. If I had to use it as a daily use tool, I’d definitely appreciate its portability while still feeling like a premium machine. I might struggle with the IO, but that’s just my opinion. I’m still in the dark ages and use USB-A a lot.
Keyboard and TrackpadThe keyboard on this laptop is really good. The key travel is short, but the feedback is just right, making it feel very natural to type on it. I didn’t have much difficulty getting used to it at all, and typing on this review was very smooth. The chassis is also very sturdy, as I didn’t notice any flex in the keyboard.
Battery LifeThe Lenovo ThinkBook 13x has a 56 Whr Lenovo ThinkBook 13x battery inside. It’s small, yes, but this is also a small laptop, so…
I ran a series of Lenovo ThinkBook 13x battery life tests at 60% brightness, which for this model is about 73 nits. Here are my results:
3.4 W (~15h 53m of use) – Idle, Best Battery Mode, screen at 0%, Wi-Fi on, backlight off
6.8 W (~7h 56m of use) – Editing text in Word and light internet use, Better Lenovo ThinkBook 13x Battery Mode, screen at 60%, Wi-Fi on; Very good for such a small battery. It’s good to know that you can get some heavy internet use for quite a while on a single charge. This is pretty similar to the battery power of AMD Ultrabooks, so it’s nice to see similar performance from Intel Evo laptops.
The power brick is 65W and very portable. It works well and has a long cable. There’s no cable strap though, which made me smile. Nothing makes me happier than pulling a tangled spaghetti noodle out of my backpack every day.
Final Thoughts – Lenovo ThinkBook 13xOverall, I think this is a good laptop. I think it meets most of the requirements of an average user for an ultrabook, whether for business or leisure.
It’s thin, light, made of quality materials, and hard to beat in terms of overall construction and design. It also feels like a very nice computer, with a nice finish and just the right color to minimize fingerprints.
The keyboard feels natural to type on, which I think is probably a highlight of this machine. The trackpad is a bit disappointing, and while I’m willing to accept it as it is, I’ve seen better.
The screen is very nice to the eyes. There’s little to complain about other than the slightly limited colors. It’s bright and beautiful, has small bezels, and works well to the touch. The only thing that would make it better would be a 90+ Hz refresh rate.

POCO may launch laptops in India soon as Redmi G battery has been certified under POCO brand

In recent years, many smartphone brands have moved beyond just making phones and have diversified into launching a number of AIoT products. One of those brands is POCO, which has also hinted at its plans to enter other areas. Now, a new report suggests that one of those areas includes the PC market. According to 91Mobiles, the Chinese smartphone maker may be planning to launch a new laptop in India, which will also be its first laptop on the market. According to well-known tipster Mukul Sharma, the Redmi G series laptop battery has just been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS). In other words, the company may be preparing for an upcoming laptop.
Judging from the pictures shared by the tipster, aRedmi G series laptop batterywith model number G16B01W was found in the BIS database. However, it belongs to the POCO brand. It has a battery capacity of 3,620mAh (15.2V, 55.02Wh) and is apparently a replacement Redmi G Gaming battery originally designed for the Redmi G battery andRedmi G Gaming laptops battery Therefore, the company may even be planning to launch a gaming laptop in the region. If it is indeed a gaming laptop, we can expect it to come with an Intel or AMD Ryzen series processor and NVIDIA or Radeon graphics cards. Keep in mind that this is just speculation at the moment, so take it with a pinch of salt for now. It’s too early to draw conclusions and we’ll have to wait for more leaks or an official announcement to learn more details about this.

AirSelfie 2 vs JJRC H59 – Battle of the Selfie Drones

Selfie drones have become increasingly popular over the past two years. Is there a better way to improve your selfie skills than with a drone? They are small and easy to use, making them the perfect drone to take with you. We’ll be looking at a couple of different options, the AirSelfie 2 ($160) and the JJRC H59 Ferry ($72). Can these small drones elevate your Instagram feed or Snapchat story? Let’s find out.AirSelfie 2The AirSelfie 2 is one of the most popular selfie drones out there. It comes with an upgraded 12 MP camera, a 5-minute flight time, and 16 GB of onboard storage. The AirSelfie 2 even comes with a power bank charger that you can use to store the drone and charge your phone. The AirSelfie 2 can be flown via an app on your smartphone. The AirSelfie 2 has three different ways to fly. There is a one-handed beginner mode, which is actually an easy way to fly. In the beginner and intermediate modes, the camera faces you, making it easy to take selfies. The intermediate mode also uses one-handed operation, but it’s confusing and difficult to use. The third mode, called Advanced Mode, gives the user a virtual joystick, and in Advanced Mode the AirSelfie 2 will fly like a typical drone. In Advanced Mode, the camera is facing away from you, and you can watch the video on your smartphone.
This drone is designed for selfies, and that’s one thing it excels at.
The AirSelfie 2 uses a downward-facing camera and sensors to help keep it level and stable. It performs well indoors, but has trouble flying outdoors in any wind. Its small design and oddly shaped propellers aren’t designed for flight, but for durability and portability. The AirSelfie comes with a power bank charger that doubles as a place to store the AirSelfie 2 drone. This is a really nice feature, and can even charge your smartphone on the go.
The AirSelfie 2 is a fun little drone, but it’s really only good for one thing, and that’s taking selfies. If you ask me, $200 is way too much for a drone with a single function. How does it compare to the less expensive selfie drone, the JJRC H59 ($72)?
AirSelfie 2 vs. JJRC H59 Ferry
The JJRC H59 Ferry looks like a larger, plastic version of the AirSelfie drone. Like the AirSelfie drone, it has downward-facing sensors for stability, and can be flown using a smartphone. It’s actually more stable, which I believe has a lot to do with its larger size.
Like the AirSelfie 2, the H59 has multiple ways to control it. You can fly it in one-handed mode like the AirSelfie 2, or you can fly it using a virtual joystick. You can choose to put the camera on the back of the drone for selfies, or put it on the front of the drone for regular flight. While it’s not a very responsive drone, it’s more comfortable to fly than the AirSelfie 2. It can be flown outdoors, but only on near-ideal days.
AirSelfie Camera. Its 5 MP camera is decent, but can’t compete with the 12 MP camera on the AirSelfie 2. If you’re looking for a drone that can take selfies for you, I’d say it meets your requirements.
The JJRC H59 has a shorter flight time, typically only lasting about 3-4 minutes. However, it is a more rugged drone and is capable of flying outdoors in a light breeze. Neither drone is recommended for flying outdoors.

Asus ProArt StudioBook Pro X hands-on review

Laptops tailored for a specific audience usually target a few key areas; most obviously gaming, budget, and professional. But the new generation of laptops seems to cater to a more nuanced, if not niche, audience. Asus’ new ProArt StudioBook series, like its previous ProArt desktops, is aimed squarely at creative professionals. Arguably, the most intriguing of all is Asus’ new ProArt StudioBook Pro X. It’s a system with astonishing features, and the secondary display on the touchpad is just as exciting. We managed to get our hands on one at IFA 2019, and after trying out a few of its ProArt siblings, the StudioBook Pro X was the one we were most impressed with.
Best of Almost EverythingTechnically, the ProArt Studio Book Pro X is the second most powerful laptop in the new lineup, just shy of the ProArt StudioBook One. But it still packs some of the most powerful components in the world today on its spec sheet.
The Pro X has the more impressive memory configuration yet, offering up to 128GB of DDR4.
At its core is a choice of Intel Core i7 or Intel Xeon CPUs, each with six cores and high clock speeds, paired with an Nvidia Quadro RTX 5000 graphics chip for some serious processing and rendering. The system is fully ISV-certified, which means that no matter what load you throw at this system, it can handle it with ease. Asus also tells us that this laptop is designed with a powerful cooling solution to prevent thermal throttling, so you can expect sustained performance within Intel’s typical boost parameters to ensure that your rendering and processing tasks are processed as quickly as possible.
Asus ProArt StudioBook Pro X Test ProX10 While the CPU and GPU of the Pro X may not be comparable to the StudioBook One, its memory configuration is more impressive. Up to 128GB of DDR4 is available. With RAID-0, high-speed NVMe storage support, buyers can choose drive configurations that can reach up to 6GBps. This helps ensure that there is as little downtime as possible when transferring or processing large (or just large) files, resulting in a fast and responsive experience.
Asus takes the professional side of this laptop so seriously that it bucks the “less is more” connectivity trend and equips the StudioBook Pro X with an abundance of ports. It has three high-speed USB-A 3.1 Gen 2 ports, a pair of USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports, a headphone jack, HDMI output, SD card reader, and a coveted Ethernet port to keep your networking capabilities unrestricted.
DelightfulBeyond the high-end hardware, Asus has also worked hard on the visual clarity and overall look and feel of the StudioBook Pro X. It sports an understated and tasteful design with a muted but elegant grey color scheme, highlighted by the slight angles and lines on the front edge of the lower half. The Asus NanoEdge bezels are thick enough at the top to accommodate a webcam, but not much more, with slight rounding at the corners, giving it a professional but far from sharp aesthetic. With a screen-to-body ratio of 97%, users have little wasted space and an immersive view of what they’re working on.
The screen itself is a hallmark of the ProArt StudioBook series. Since color accuracy is so important in all creative and professional fields, Asus ensured that the StudioBook Pro X supports 97% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, and with it fully validated by Pantone, you can be confident that its colors are virtually lifelike. In person, we found it easy to watch, with great clarity and rich, deep colors, even under strong external lighting.
It may not be groundbreaking in terms of resolution, at just 1,920 x 1,200, but the 16:10 aspect ratio is a great modern touch that gives it a more professional feel than the more typical 16:9 offerings.
The lid and touchpad have a carbon fiber-effect coating, which helps to distinguish it not only from the rest of the laptop, but also from most of this system’s competitors. The keyboard keys are tastefully backlit for low-light operation, and both the keyboard and touchpad are accurate and responsive.
But the secondary function of the touchpad is arguably the most interesting part of the whole system.
Screen doubling

Even though you can run Doom on the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar, we’re still not quite sure what to make of it. But the optional ScreenPad (which we first saw in the ZenBook Pro 15) is an interesting addition to the StudioBook Pro X. It adds smartphone-like interaction with the laptop, providing quick access to the app launcher and custom commands in your favorite apps.
The 16:10 aspect ratio is a great modern touch that gives it a professional feel compared to the more typical 16:9 offerings.
We found it responsive and accurate to touch, with easy access to menu items to adjust brightness, resolution, and refresh rate. You can even have it display a unique background image to add a touch of personal style to the touchpad. It’s not lightweight, which gives it a strength and rigidity that you don’t usually find in more streamlined devices. While this may make it less portable than the average mid-range device, it’s not a hallmark of the StudioBook Pro X.
With great hardware, a professional look and feel, and a compelling second screen that offers more useful functionality than the thin and often redundant MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar, this StudioBook laptop could be the most exciting addition to the expanded ProArt lineup.
The ProArt StudioBook One is a more capable device if you need more graphics power, but the Pro X seems to better reflect the creative professionals Asus is targeting with its new device. We don’t have an exact release date or pricing for this model just yet, but if it undercuts the more powerful One option and offers more power, this model could be the best of the new ProArt StudioBook lineup
