High-end smartwatches are becoming more common these days, with several watch manufacturers flaunting the “Ultra” label on their highest-end watches. In addition to the high power and features, “Ultra” usually comes with a pretty high price tag. Honor has entered the Ultra realm with the Honor Watch 5 Ultra. It’s a smartwatch made with premium materials and comes at a pretty reasonable price. As of now (and for the foreseeable future), the watch is only available overseas – no need for US buyers to apply. Still, I got the chance to wear a sample of this watch provided by Honor for a few weeks. Especially since I haven’t charged the Honor Watch 5 Ultra Battery yet, I found it to be a particularly interesting piece of hardware. Honor claims that this watch can run for 15 days on a full charge, and I believe that. There are some other particularly nice elements worth highlighting, so let’s get started. It also provides some other key metrics for the previous day (the metrics you achieved) and the upcoming day, such as the weather. You can skip the morning report or scroll through it. It automatically turns on when it detects that you’ve woken up. The Honor Watch 5 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 45-second health report that checks your heart rate, stress levels, EKG, and other data if you like. This is an activity you can start on your own; it doesn’t run automatically, but it gives you a good overview of all the important stats the watch can measure. Excellent. I only had about ten days to test the watch, and it easily lasted through. Honor says the watch can last up to 15 days—that might be a little optimistic, but twelve days is certainly reasonable. The watch uses standard Qi charging, which is a nice extra. Also, because of the way the lugs fit into the band, the watch can lay flat, unlike the OnePlus Watch 3. Overall, this is a very nice watch that looks classy even with its larger size. If you have slim wrists, you might want to look elsewhere.
The battery on the Honor Watch 5 Ultra is also pretty solid. My main complaint about this watch is the software and lack of customization. The apps are basic but functional. The health features are definitely there.
