Oppo Find N5 leaks, reveals release timeline, Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip, display, camera details, and more

Last year, Oppo launched the Oppo Find N3 foldable phone in the Chinese market. However, the brand did not launch its successor this year. Recent reports claim that the brand may launch the Oppo Find N5 in the first quarter of 2025. In the latest leak, tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some key details about Oppo’s next-generation foldable phone.
The leak does not reveal information about the Oppo Find N5 battery. However, considering that the predecessor model had a 4,800mAh Oppo phones batteryand newer phones are increasingly leaning towards high-density silicon cells, the Find N5 will likely feature a larger Oppo Find N5 battery

Oppo Find N5 Key Specs (Rumored)
Foldable phones launched this year such as the Vivo X Fold 3 Pro, Honor Magic V3, and Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 6 are powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. According to DCS, the Find N5 will be powered by the SM8750 chipset, which is nothing more than the next-generation Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC that is expected to debut in October. Therefore, it seems that the Find N5 could be the world’s first foldable phone to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chip.
The leak suggests that the inner folding display and the cover screen will support 2K resolution. The device will feature a triple-camera setup on the back panel, with a 50-megapixel Sony camera on top. It will be joined by a periscope telephoto camera and possibly an ultra-wide-angle lens. Like its predecessor, the Find N5 will have a large circular camera island.
Notably, the Find N5 will be very thin and light, with a body thickness estimated to be around 9.x mm. It will also feature a three-level alert slider button and is expected to have enhanced structural reinforcement and waterproofing.

Sony Xperia M2 review: A stylish, beautiful Android phone from Sony

If you’re on a budget but still want the Sony brand and a good-looking phone, take a look at the Xperia M2. Its slim build, glass front and back are reminiscent of Sony’s pricier phones, but the bright purple color makes it stand out. It has a 4.8-inch display, a 1.2GHz quad-core processor, and an 8MP camera on the back.

DesignIt’s easy to tell that the Xperia M2 is a mirror image of the rest of the recent Xperia range. It has the same glass front and back design, the speaker is on the bottom edge, there’s discreet Xperia branding on the back, and it’s available in the same black, white, or bright purple colors.
It doesn’t have the metal frame of the flagship Xperia Z2 (or its predecessor, the Z1), so actually looks almost identical to the earlier Xperia Z. I think it’s a very attractive device – the glass panel looks and feels very luxurious, and the purple color stands out among the many grey and black smartphones on the market – although if purple isn’t your thing, you can also get it in black and white. Although it looks very similar to the Xperia Z, it’s not as water-resistant as the latter – drop the M2 in water and you’ll just be left with a nice but useless piece of glass. It’s disappointing that it’s not waterproof, as this feature isn’t currently available in less expensive phones – but it would be a good reason to choose the M2 over its competitors.
Unusually, the SIM and microSD card slots are covered by a cover, just like the ports on the Xperia Z, to protect against water. I suspect this phone was originally intended to be waterproof, but Sony may have felt that it would be too costly to do so for a budget phone.
At 140mm long and 71mm wide, with a 4.8-inch display, it’s easier to hold in one hand than the 5.2-inch Xperia Z2. At 8.6mm thick, it can easily slip into jeans, and the 148g weight probably won’t bother you too much either.
On the sides, you’ll find a micro USB port for charging and data transfer, a 3.5mm headphone jack, SIM and microSD card slots under the flap, a volume rocker, a dedicated camera shutter button, and the same silver, protruding power button you’ll see on most recent Xperias.
The phone comes with 8GB of storage, of which less than 5GB is available for your own apps, music, and videos, as the Android software and Sony add-ons take up quite a bit of space. That’s not a lot of space, so you should factor a microSD card into the price, especially if you like to store a lot of music on your phone.
DisplayThe 4.8-inch display has a resolution of 960×540 pixels, giving it a pixel density of 229 pixels per inch. That’s pretty disappointing, especially when you consider the much cheaper Motorola Moto G has a 4.5-inch display with a resolution of up to 720p. I’d expect a display of this size to have a minimum resolution of 720p, so a lower resolution is a bummer.
Processor and ony Xperia M2 battery  PerformanceUnder the hood is a 1.2GHz quad-core processor — the same chip used in the Motorola Moto G. It’s far from the most powerful chip in a phone, but it’s capable of giving the M2 a pretty smooth experience. There was no noticeable lag when navigating the Android interface, and it handled photo editing and video streaming on YouTube and Netflix without any problems.
The phone has a 2,330mAh Sony Xperia M2 battery — Sony estimates it can achieve up to 12 hours and 11 minutes of talk time in 3G mode, which I think is feasible. After looping a two-hour video at 75 percent brightness, the battery dropped to 71 percent, which isn’t surprising, but I’ve certainly seen worse. In my Sony Xperia M2 battery drain test, the phone lasted just over 11 hours before dying. Again, that’s about average.
The phone’s sealed design means the battery isn’t removable, so you can’t carry a spare. If you’re worried about running out of juice, opt for a portableSony phone  battery  pack like the Native Union Jump cable or the Mophie Juicepack.

Redmi Note 14 Pro gets 90W fast charging certification

Redmi Note 14 Pro may have just passed 3C certification in China with 90W fast wired support Redmi Note 14 Pro Over the past few weeks, a lot of information has surfaced about the Redmi Note 14 series, although not directly from Xiaomi. Instead, various regulatory agencies have revealed information about new Redmi Note models, including faster charging speeds for the entry-levelRedmi Note 14 Smartphone Battery. To this end, a recent 3C listing suggests that the high-end Redmi Note 14 Smartphone Battery supports 90W wired charging, a 34% improvement over the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G (currently priced at $285 on Amazon). Additionally, Xiaomi is said to have equipped the device with a triple-camera setup, which echoes the design that was allegedly leaked recently. However, the Redmi Note 14 Pro’s camera configuration in China may be different from other markets. Specifically, the former is said to be equipped with a macro camera, while Xiaomi will equip the latter with a telephoto camera. Furthermore, Xiaomi Times reiterates earlier claims that Xiaomi will equip the Redmi Note 14 Pro with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3, the 4nm chipset Qualcomm announced earlier this week.
Finally, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 is present in the Redmi Note 13 Pro 5G Smartphone Battery which means a direct successor to the Redmi Note 14 Pro is not a surprise. However, the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 should bring upgrades such as a 20% increase in CPU performance and a 40% increase in GPU performance, as well as a 12% reduction in charging power consumption (a considerable improvement over the 67W of the Redmi Note 13 Pro). The model number of the device is 24115RA8EC. Of course, this is the version that will be sold in China, which is confirmed by the last “C” in the model number.
So far, rumors have suggested that the Redmi Note 14 Pro will be equipped with the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset that Qualcomm officially announced yesterday. In fact, it will be the first phone to use this SoC when it launches in China next month. Compared to its predecessor, which used the Snapdragon 7s Gen 2, the new chipset offers a 20% faster CPU, a 40% faster GPU, and 30% better AI performance. The international version of the Redmi Note 14 Pro will feature a triple rear camera, including a telephoto lens. The Chinese version will feature a macro camera. These are all the rumors that have emerged so far. We’ll let you know once more information becomes available.

OnePlus 13 is rumored to come with a 6,000mAh battery

OnePlus has always been one of the most forward-thinking companies in terms of charging speeds and power, and with the OnePlus 13 on the horizon, there’s no reason the company should give that up. New leaks suggest the OnePlus 13 will bring a 6,000mAh OnePlus 13 battery and fast charging.
It’s expected that the OnePlus 13 will bring a few changes to the lineup. Recent rumors suggest the phone will carry an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor for better accuracy. It’s also been suggested that the OnePlus 13 will step away from the design language the series has been using for years.
According to Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 13 will have a 6,000mAh OnePlus 13 battery inside (via GizmoChina). ThatOnePlus 13  battery will be capable of 100W charging via cable and 50W wireless charging.
The charging specs don’t differ from those of the OnePlus 12, so there aren’t any surprises. An extra 600mAh, however, is a welcomeOnePlus 12 batterychange. Considering that the OnePlus 13 may also include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4, a little extra power shouldn’t hurt in any meaningful way. There’s no indication of how much more power or OnePlus 13  battery life that actually means – it’s dependant on how OnePlus plans to optimize the new device.
OnePlus offered a full charge in around 30 minutes with the OnePlus 12’s 5,400mAh battery at 100W. By extension, it might take just over 30 or 40 minutes to charge theOnePlus 13’s battery when it comes out, though those are rough estimates based on previous experience.

There is currently no information available on the launch of the OnePlus 13. If previous launches are any indication, the OnePlus 13 may debut in China in December, with a global launch in January.

Google Pixel 4 XL battery issues now get a one-year warranty extension – except in the UK

In response to a series of specificGoogle Pixel 4 XL battery-related issues, Google has extended the warranty of the Pixel 4 XL to a few regions.
Pixel 4 XL users in the US, Canada, Japan, Singapore, and Taiwan can now take advantage of a one-year extended repair program. But the UK, Australia, and several specified EU countries are excluded, and Google says “eligible devices will be processed as part of their normal two-year manufacturer warranty.” As
Android Police points out, such offers are usually prompted by a wave of complaints about faults, and perhaps even threats of legal action, but widespread reports of
Pixel 4 XL battery
issues have been conspicuous by the lack of such offers. Still, users in eligible countries must meet a very specific set of faults to qualify for free repairs. Google says the issues must be related to the following:
Not turning on
Phone randomly restarts or shuts down without manual restart or shutdownCharging with an adapterWireless chargingThephone’s batterydrains noticeably faster than before useOther issues are not covered by the warranty, and Google warns that other issues (such as cracked screens) may need to be dealt with at the user’s expense before battery faults are resolved for free.
If the phone was purchased in an ineligible country, users in eligible regions will also be ineligible. So if you bought a Pixel 4 XL in the UK but now live in Singapore, you won’t be able to get the free service. This may just be because the existing warranty has replaced the repair program, but on the other hand, it can also provide some insight into the nature of the problem. Android Police points out that North America, Taiwan, and Japan have their own SKUs that are different from the global models, so this issue may not affect phones purchased in Europe.

Motorola Razr 50 review

The Motorola Razr 50 is a huge success, fixing almost all of the issues with the first affordable foldable Motorola Razr 50 phone while matching the premium Razr 50 Ultra in key ways. It’s not a perfect foldable phone, but it ticks a lot of boxes for £799/$799.
Not only does it offer a huge upgrade to the cover display, but users can also enjoy improved camera technology, new AI smarts and improved performance while still keeping it more affordable.
The fact that it outperforms the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 in key ways and is a more affordable alternative to Samsung’s premium clamshell foldable phone makes it particularly interesting. DesignLarger 3.6-inch cover screenIPX8 water resistanceStylish colour optionsLast year’s Motorola Razr 40 was the first attempt at making a more affordable clamshell foldable phone, and it worked well, but as we discussed in our review at the time, the small cover screen was just too limited in what it could do compared to almost every other foldable phone on the market.
With the Razr 40, we had a number of complaints about its overall build quality compared to the flagship 40 Ultra, with our reviewer noting that the Fold’s screen actually squeaks when unfolded.
That’s not the case with the new model, however, which feels just as solid and premium as the Ultra model and features a redesigned hinge mechanism, though it still doesn’t feel as sturdy as the Z Flip 6 and its rock-solid construction. The Razr 50 has the same levels of protection as the higher-end Razr 50 Ultra, including covered screen protection in the form of Corning’s premium Gorilla Glass Victus, and IPX8 water resistance, meaning it can survive being submerged in up to 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes without breaking a sweat.
While this means the Ultra model suffers from reduced dust resistance, the regular Razr 40 didn’t offer any official IP rating, so improved dust resistance is a welcome addition here — especially in the more affordable realm of foldable phones, which are prone to drops from the elements. Take a look at the Nubia Flip 5G and you’ll see what I mean. It’s worth noting that it uses an LTPO panel that can downclock to 1Hz to saveMotorola Razr 50 phone battery life, a feature not available on many similarly priced candy-bar phones, let alone foldable phones.
The good news is that the redesigned hinge mechanism has managed to significantly reduce the crease on the foldable screen. Sure, it’s still there if you look at it from the side, but from the front, you won’t notice anything – and the dent is shallower than on products like Samsung, so you won’t notice much when you run your finger across it. Its main camera is the same as the one in the high-end Razr 50 Ultra. This means that, like the high-end model, the Razr 50 can take some very impressive photos. Photos taken in daylight are vivid and detailed, and while some colors (especially greens and blues) have a slightly unnatural tint, it does make the photos taken very eye-catching. The 4200mAh
Motorola Razr 50 phone battery
(200mAh larger than the Razr 40 Ultra, by the way) plus the combination of the LTPO display and the power-efficient chipset make the Razr 50 easily last a full day, especially with the more convenient cover display, which means you don’t always have to use the more power-hungry 6.9-inch panel.
While 30W charging may not sound all that impressive, especially when premium foldables like the OnePlus Open offer 67W fast charging, don’t let that fool you; using the 33W charger included in the box, you’ll see 50% charge in 25 minutes, and a full charge takes less than an hour.
There’s also 15W wireless charging – a surprise given the foldable’s lower price, but a welcome one nonetheless

OnePlus 10T: here’s everything we know so far

We’ve heard a lot about the OnePlus flagship phones we may or may not see this year, mostly referring to the standard OnePlus 10 and OnePlus 10 Ultra. But now it looks like we may not see either of those phones, and instead get the OnePlus 10T.

So far, the phone seems to be positioned slightly below the OnePlus 10 Pro, so it could end up being the OnePlus 10 in all but name. However, leaks suggest it’ll have an edge over the Pro in at least one area – charging speeds – and it may also have a better chipset.

Below we’ve detailed everything we’ve heard about the OnePlus 10T so far:

OnePlus 10T release date and price

So far, the one real release date rumor has pointed to the OnePlus 10T arriving in July, although that seems a little early for a T model and pretty close to the OnePlus 10 Pro launch, so we think August or September is more likely.

There’s no word on how much the phone will cost, but the same source says it’ll be positioned between the OnePlus 10 Pro and OnePlus 10R, meaning it’ll be slightly cheaper than the Pro.

While there’s some uncertainty about where the 10T will actually be positioned, there’s evidence that it could have better specs than the OnePlus 10 Pro – and possibly even better than all phones except the OnePlus 10 Ultra. In that case, it’ll probably cost more.

OnePlus 10T design and display

A major OnePlus 10T leak revealed a number of spec details, including images that give us an idea of the phone’s likely design.

There’s a massive camera block that spans the entire width of the rear – though only two-thirds of the way to the left, while the front has a flat camera with fairly narrow bezels and a punch hole. You can also see power and volume buttons on the right edge, but no alert slider.

The same source also revealed that the OnePlus 10T will apparently have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. Another leaker also listed these exact screen specs. The second leaker believes the phone will launch with the OnePlus 10 name, but they’re clearly talking about the same phone.

Based on all of this, the design and display appear to be a slight step down from the OnePlus 10 Pro, which had a QHD+ curved screen and possibly slightly smaller bezels.

OnePlus 10T  Battery

According to the leak, the OnePlus 10T’s rear triple-lens camera includes a 50MP main camera with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 16MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2MP macro camera. It will apparently also be able to record videos at up to 4K quality at up to 60fps. Meanwhile, the front-facing 32MP camera is said to be able to record 1080p at 30fps.

The same camera specs list was previously revealed by another source, so there’s a good chance it’s accurate.

That said, a third source points to slightly different camera specs, saying it’s expected to feature a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor, 8MP and 2MP secondary sensors, and a 16MP front-facing camera.

As for the battery, the same three sources say it has a 4,800mAh

OnePlus 10T battery

and 150W charging. That’s an incredible amount of charging power, and would beat the OnePlus 10 Pro — though the

OnePlus 10 Pro battery

is smaller here, and the 10T doesn’t appear to have wireless charging either.

OnePlus 10T specs and features

It’s unclear what chipset the OnePlus 10 Pro will use, with some saying it could use the Dimensity 9000 or Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 Plus.

These are both high-end chipsets, even better than the one in the OnePlus 10 Pro.

Beyond that, we’ve heard that the OnePlus 10T could come with 8GB or 12GB of RAM, 128GB or 256GB of storage, and Android 12 overlaid with OxygenOS 12. There are also rumors that the OnePlus 10T will have an in-display fingerprint scanner and stereo speakers — neither of which are surprising.

Blackview BL9000 Pro: Outdoor smartphone with FLIR Mobile SDK, 5G Dimensity 8020, and more

Following the recent bankruptcy of manufacturer CAT, emerging tech brand Blackview has become the only company in the rugged outdoor phone market dedicated to thermal imaging technology using the world-class FLIR Mobile SDK and MyFLIR Pro app. The new Blackview BL9000 Pro is a direct competitor to the CAT S62 Pro. It has significant improvements in hardware, software, and thermal imaging capabilities. Particularly noteworthy are the 5G MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset, 50 MP front and rear cameras, 120 Hz display, 120 W ultra-fast charging, dual Harman Kardon speakers with Harman AudioEFX, and Android 14 (DokeOS 4.0). Blackview BL9000 Pro: Equipped with a powerful thermal imaging cameraThe flagship feature of the Blackview BL9000 Pro is of course the thermal imaging camera. It uses the same FLIR Lepton 3.5 sensor as the CAT S62 Pro. It offers a resolution of 160 x 120 pixels – four times that of previous models – and therefore provides the clearest thermal images to date.
The BL9000 Pro also relies on the exclusive MyFLIR Pro app and introduces innovative MSX imaging features. These include a picture-in-picture mode that helps identify problems more accurately.
A new temperature alarm detects temperature anomalies and automatically triggers an alarm while generating an analysis report. Supported by the Teledyne FLIR Mobile SDK, Android and iOS developers can integrate FLIR thermal imaging technology into their mobile apps for a better user experience.
Blackview BL9000 Pro: Display and DesignThe Blackview BL9000 Pro features a larger 6.78-inch display with a resolution of 1,080 x 2,460 pixels and a frame rate of up to 120 Hz. This not only makes it larger and faster than the CAT S62 Pro, but also has a higher resolution. As a rugged outdoor smartphone, the BL9000 Pro can easily withstand a drop from 1.2 meters and stay in 1.5 meters of water for 30 minutes. This makes it an ideal companion for rainforest adventures or harsh outdoor work environments.
Powerful HardwareThe CAT S62 Pro uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, while the Blackview BL9000 Pro is equipped with a powerful MediaTek Dimensity 8020 chipset and supports 5G. It is equipped with up to 36 GB RAM (12 GB RAM 24 GB RAM expansion), and 512 GB system memory, which can be expanded to 1 TB via a microSD card. With this powerful configuration, the BL9000 Pro can handle the use of multiple applications at the same time and can store more photos, videos, and files.
Blackview BL9000 Pro vs CAT S62 Pro: CameraThe Blackview BL9000 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL GN5 main camera, supplemented by a 13 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a macro lens. For selfies and video calls, the BL9000 Pro’s 50 MP front camera is better than the CAT S62 Pro, which only has an 8 MP front camera. Both the front and rear cameras of the BL9000 Pro can record 4K video, which is perfect for shooting vlogs and short videos. The latest ArcSoft 8.0 image algorithm and AI camera enhancement also ensure that you always have perfect image quality.
