Marshall Emberton 2 review: Stylish, minimalist speaker with great battery life

The Marshall Emberton 2 is the latest portable speaker from Marshall, a British company founded in the 1960s that’s probably best known for its guitar amplifiers. Been to a show lately? There was almost certainly a Marshall amp on stage. As we’d expect, the Marshall Emberton 2 brings a rich, clear, and wide sound to most environments. However, the audio gets a little muddy with the volume turned up. There’s also not as much bass as we’d like, but in that regard, it does a good job as a portable speaker. The standout feature of the Marshall Emberton 2 is its incredible 30-hour Marshall Emberton 2 batterylife. Add to that a 1.5-pound weight (not light compared to the competition, but not heavy either), an IP67 rating for dust and water resistance, and you’ve got all the requirements for a good portable speaker.
As such, we wouldn’t recommend the Marshall Emberton 2 to everyone. If you want a speaker with a voice assistant, support for calls, and plenty of customization options, you’ll need to look elsewhere – there are plenty to choose from in our best smart speakers guide. However, if you like the Marshall aesthetic and want a reliable, portable speaker with great sound quality, long battery life, and minimal features, this is a great choice. Marshall Emberton 2 Bluetooth Speakers Battery
It’s rated for an incredible 30 hours of battery life, and we found that to be accurate in our testing, with between 27-29 hours of use. It only takes three hours to charge, and a full charge in just a few minutes.
This is one of the longest-lasting products in the portable speaker space. We tested the Tribit Stombox Blast, which also lasted 30 hours, and the Bang & Olufsen Beosound Explore, which lasted 27 hours. But the top Bluetooth speaker Sonos Roam only lasted 10 hours.
The excellent  Emberton 2 battery life makes the Emberton 2 a great portable speaker that can deliver really solid sound for more than a full day. Inside the Marshall Emberton 2 are two 2-inch full-range drivers, two passive radiators, and Marshall’s “True Stereo” technology, which is essentially stereo sound. So no matter what you listen to, the sound will be rich and clear in most cases.

The soundstage of this speaker is immersive and wide, and we attribute this to Marshall’s multi-directional audio. The bass is decent in most situations, but you won’t get that booming bass experience if you want sound to fill a room. But that’s largely to be expected for a portable, compact speaker like this. You’re paying a premium for the Marshall brand and the really cool-looking miniature amp aesthetic. But there’s a lot to like about the Emberton 2, too, which makes the extra expense a little easier to swallow. The standout feature is its Marshall Emberton 2 Bluetooth Battery
30-hour battery life. The sound here is also good, but not amazing. We really like the stacking feature for creating a wall of sound at a party.
Overall, we can’t say the Marshall Emberton 2 is worth the money for everyone, as it’s simply not for everyone, especially for those who want smart features. But if you want a stylish, great-sounding, cool-looking, durable speaker that lasts all day on a single Marshall Emberton 2 Bluetooth Speakers Battery charge, then it’s definitely worth the money.

JBL Clip 5 review: Affordable portable speaker with great sound quality

TechRadar VerdictDespite its compact size, this JBL Clip 5 speaker really delivers great-sounding music. The detail and powerful bass are impressive, although the highs can sound a little strained at volumes above 50%. Some great features include an adjustable EQ, Auracast connectivity, an IP67 rating, and a handy carabiner clip, making it an ideal outdoor speaker. From the first minute, I was impressed by the capabilities of this compact Bluetooth speaker.
JBL Clip 5 Speaker Battery
It lasted nearly 11 and a half hours, which is pretty good considering how loud the Clip 5 gets at that volume.
The JBL Clip 5’s sound quality is pretty impressive considering its size and price. It’s capable of producing surprisingly deep bass without losing detail, even with just the default JBL Signature EQ settings.

The Clip 5 is a small Bluetooth speaker that combines durability, practicality, and enjoyable sound. Is it one of the best Bluetooth speakers on the market? It all came at the right time. This speaker is IP67 water and dust resistant, which means I’m not restricted by where I can listen to music. It’s quickly become my favorite shower companion, and steam is no problem for it. We also put it through a water immersion test in the TechRadar test tank, and the Clip 5 continued to perform well afterwards, so whether you want to listen to music on the beach or sing karaoke in the shower, this speaker seems to be able to handle it. JBL took a sustainable approach with the Clip 5, incorporating some post-consumer recycled materials into the design. Great stuff. JBL website
JBL Clip 5 Speaker Battery
Up to 12 hours of battery life. When I played the TechRadar test playlist non-stop at 50 percent volume,

I could feel the bass coming off the surface of the speaker when I put it down. Not only was the bass punchy and dynamic on tracks like Allie X’s “Black Eye,” but it also had impressive low-end bass when listening to Massive Attack’s “Angel.” Cheaper speakers may not be able to handle the highs and intensity of some of the vocal parts on this track, making it sound harsh and strained. The Clip 5 handles this well, but the harshness does appear around 75 percent volume, which seemed to be a theme in my listening to a variety of tracks. The song Boom Boom by the same artist sounds good at 75 percent volume, with plenty of detail and drama, but the highs again start to feel a little harsh; at 50 percent volume, everything blends a little better. So this is definitely not a replacement for a party speaker if you want to play music loudly at a party.

Harman Kardon Citation 100 review

Harman’s Citation 100 speaker is a lot of fun. The bass is strong and the sound fills the room, but it’s not the best choice if you’re after a speaker with neutral and balanced audio performance. The Harman Kardon Citation 100 is a large smart speaker that connects with Google Assistant. You can use its built-in microphone to request tracks and organize yourHarman Kardon Citation 100 Speaker battery  life.

It’s also one of the most serious-looking smart speakers on the market. It’s a large black tower speaker that matches the cute elements of the Libratone Zipp 2 and Amazon Echo Plus. It’s 27.5cm tall, 11cm taller than the Sonos One. For most people, this isn’t a major practical issue. The Citation 100 is an upright speaker. Its base doesn’t need to take up a lot of space, being about as tall as a bookshelf speaker.

However, if you want a smart speaker that people will barely notice unless it’s playing music, the Citation 100 isn’t an obvious choice. JBL makes smaller versions like the Citation One for this audience.

Aside from its massive size, the Harman Kardon Citation 100 is actually pretty neutral in appearance. A fabric mesh, predominantly black with a hint of dark gray, covers its sides. Harman Kardon also offers a gray version that looks a little less drab.

There’s a large plate of anodized aluminum on the top. Don’t expose the top to too much sunlight, as its paint will start to fade after a while.

All of the controls are on the Citation 100’s top plate, and none of them use proper buttons. It’s a capacitive touch surface with hotspots that adjust the volume, switch to Bluetooth, mute the microphone, and play/pause.

The Bluetooth button is one of the most important parts to note. Smart speakers use Wi-Fi to communicate with connected digital assistants, but if they also have Bluetooth, you can more easily play audio from any of your favorite phone apps.

The Harman Kardon Citation 100 doesn’t have everything, though. It doesn’t have a 3.5mm port, and it doesn’t easily plug into a turntable if that’s the last thing you want to add to your transition to all-digital music.

This is also a completely non-portable speaker. There’s no

Harman Kardon Citation 100 Speakerbattery inside

, no option to add a battery, and no waterproofing or sense of ruggedness. It’s designed for the home, not a road trip. There are two threaded stand mounting points on the bottom, though, which is handy.

The Harman Kardon Citation 100 is very easy to set up. Everything is handled through the Google Home app, which doesn’t let poorly developed custom apps ruin the experience. It also allows you to group the Citation with other speakers on the platform, not just JBL speakers.

There is one feature that isn’t as advanced as the average smart speaker, though. The Citation 100 only has two microphones, not the six found in Amazon’s Echo speakers, or even the relatively cheap Echo Dot.

Harman Kardon Citation 100 sound quality – while it does get loud, it’s not a particularly neutral-sounding speaker

Harman Kardon calls the Citation 100 “the smallest, most powerful-sounding smart home speaker.” Small might be a little misleading, but “powerful” is not. Its bass is deep and full, extending far beyond neutral sound quality into the party zone.

It would be wrong to call it a mindless bass monster. The Harman Kardon Citation 100 has very pleasant, sweet highs, good midrange texture, and the volume of the sound is enough that you will worry about disturbing the neighbors.

Harman Bluetooth Speakers Battery

If you want rich sound that can fill a fairly large room at higher volumes without the strained tones heard with small speakers such as the Sonos One, this speaker is one of the best choices at this price point.

Bass integration is also good, although the clearly emphasized bass is not natural in definition. And this is the main potential stumbling block here. In a classic rock band arrangement, the Harman Kardon Citation 100 made the bass guitar stand out too much, as if the bassist’s brother was on the soundboard.

Sony ULT Field 7 review: The best Bluetooth speaker

There are two things I love about the Sony ULT Field 7 speaker. First, its name. For some reason, Sony often gives its products some weird names that are hard to remember and pronounce. Thankfully, with the introduction of the new ULT series, Sony has changed its naming convention to something simpler. I’m glad that I can refer to it as the Sony ULT Field 7 in this review, instead of the Sony 116MW789.
If you’re here for the review, the Sony ULT Field 7 is an excellent speaker that delivers on its promise. The sound quality, size, bass, and overall build quality are all top-notch.
However, there are some issues. For example, this speaker might be too bass-heavy for those who like a balanced sound. At high volumes, the bass can disappear (not in all cases), but this isn’t a big deal because you can just turn off the ULT mode for a more balanced sound without the boomy bass. All in all, this speaker does what you expect, and that’s the best it has to offer.
Still, I’d buy one if I had the money. So, when I finally received my first Sony ULT7 speaker, I was excited to try it out. This speaker seems to be perfect for those who like big bass, powerful sound, big speakers, and long Bluetooth speaker batterylife.
I have tried all the cheap speakers and was not happy with them, mainly because of the poo Sony ULT Field 7 battery
life and sound quality of the Sony ULT Field 7. I finally have the speaker I always wanted. Here are my experiences after 30 days with the Sony ULT Field 7. The build quality is great and it is sturdy and durable. When the compartment is on the back, you can use the round buttons, which feel good to click, again indicating good quality. It has a 3.5mm aux input, a quarter-inch mic/guitar input, a USB-A port for charging, a gain knob (to adjust the input level of a connected mic or guitar), a light switch, battery readout, key controls, and an echo effect button.
Superior sound quality – the ULT button makes a difference The ULT button is conveniently located on the side of the speaker. There are two ULT modes: ULT Mode 1 for richer bass and ULT Mode 2 for strong and heavy bass. Enabling and disabling the ULT button changes the sound and bass noticeably. I always turn it on because I like deep bass. You can turn it off for a flatter sound and less bass.
Regarding the sound quality, the highs are clear, the bass is thick when the ULT button is on, and the mids and vocals are good, but the bass drops a bit and is overwhelmed by the bass when the volume is turned up to 70-80%.
If you turn off the ULT button, you get a more balanced sound, which is not a problem considering that this speaker is designed for bass lovers. If you don’t want strong bass, turn it off for a balanced sound. After using this speaker for a few hours, my playlist ended and my day was over. I was impressed by the sound quality of the Sony ULT Field 7 speaker.
Sony ULT Field 7: Impressive Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth speaker Battery Life One of the main reasons I used to hate Bluetooth speakers was the short battery life of the Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth speaker. Not all Sony ULT Field 7 Bluetooth speaker battery have a bad battery life, but some that I have tested do. I was also concerned about the Bluetooth speaker battery life of the Sony ULT Field 7 speaker.
But I was very impressed, especially with the powerful sound. The battery life dropped from 90% to 70% after 8-9 hours, which surprised me because my experience with Bluetooth speakers has always been bad. I installed the Music Center app from the App Store. This was my first time using the app. The app is very simple and has a simple user interface. It is functional and has some useful features. You can adjust the volume, check the battery life, control the sound effects, and use the battery care options to extend theSony Bluetooth speaker batterylife. You can also use the app to group the speaker with other speakers.
The Sony ULT Field 7 is a great speaker for both indoor and outdoor use. It offers excellent sound quality, super rich bass, solid build quality, and a super long

Harman Kardon Onyx Mini Review

Design Available in black, blue, or gray, the Onyx Mini measures 5.7 x 6.2 x 3.7 inches (aspect ratio), weighs 1.3 pounds, and has a rounded raised plate on the front that’s completely surrounded by a speaker grille with a prominent Harman Kardon logo printed in the center. Behind the grille, Battery for the Harman Onyx Mini Bluetooth speakerthe  two 45mm 8-watt drivers are angled slightly upward, making the Onyx Mini a good choice for a tabletop or desktop speaker, as the sound is closer to your ears than if the drivers were firing directly outward. While it’s technically a portable speaker, it doesn’t come with a case or carrying case, and isn’t necessarily meant for outdoor use—think of it as a portable room-to-room speaker.
Pros: Powerful audio performance, rich bass, and excellent high-end clarity. Folding drivers. Can be paired with other speakers to provide a stereo soundstage. Built-in speakers. Harman Bluetooth Speaker Battery
The back panel and bottom are covered in a matte rubber material, and there’s a passive bass radiator in the middle of the back panel. On the top of the speaker there are controls for power, volume (works with your mobile device’s master volume), Bluetooth pairing, and a phone button (for using the speaker’s features). There’s a Harman Bluetooth Speaker batteryLED indicator on the top of the back near the controls. On the bottom of the back there’s a 3.5mm aux input (although no audio cable is included – an annoying omission given the price) and a micro USB port for the included charging cable. The cable charges the speaker via a USB computer port or the included USB power adapter.
