The Asus ProArt StudioBook One resembles a classic mobile workstation, but its unique design makes it stand out: The processor sits behind the 4K display, not in the chassis below the keyboard. It offers up to 300W of cooling power (just enough to match the power of the included power adapter). The ProArt’s uniquely designed keyboard stays cool and comfortable to hold. This design also gives the ProArt a top-heavy, professional look, but that’s only half the story. The ProArt’s lower half is very slim, with a spacious keyboard and extra-large trackpad. Its performance is quite good, but only because the Quadro RTX 6000 graphics card is severely limited when the ProArt is powered off. For example, a GPU Blender render takes about 37 seconds when powered off, but takes nearly two minutes when powered on (with the power mode set to best performance). According to Asus, the adapter uses gallium nitride (GaN) field-effect transistors instead of traditional silicon-based MOSFETs, which not only saves volume but also makes the adapter more efficient. Acer ConceptD 7 Pro: A heavy-duty laptop for heavy-duty applications

We reviewed the ConceptD 7 Pro with NVIDIA RTX 5000 graphics. We got our hands on the Acer ConceptD 7 Pro to see how it performs as a mobile workstation for engineers.
The Acer ConceptD 7 Pro is a striking laptop, unless you happen to be caught in a snowstorm. Its aluminum body is covered in a bone-white ceramic coating that’s reminiscent of the iBook from 2004.Acer ConceptD 7 Pro Laptop Batterylife is decent, but still far behind other mobile workstations we’ve reviewed. Acer claims the ConceptD 7 Pro’s display can reach up to 400 nits of brightness, but our testing showed it to be just 267.8 nits at 100 percent brightness, with a contrast ratio of 930:1. Still, the screen is quite bright in my opinion (only the harsh white chassis belies its brightness). The Acer ConceptD 7 Pro is one of the most powerful mobile workstations we’ve reviewed to date. If you’re looking for a device that can quickly run graphics-intensive applications on the go, the ConceptD is a good choice, and it’s relatively affordable.

Surface Book 3: A great laptop, but it’s no workstation

Now in its third generation, the Surface Book remains the king of the Surface family.
The Surface Book 3 feels like a regular laptop, but don’t be misled. The Surface Book features a detachable display that’s easily removed via a stylish curved hinge. It can be used as a standalone tablet, or flipped and reattached for other configurations.Surface Book 3 Laptop Battery Life
The battery capacity is 82.7 Wh (59.9 Wh for the base model, 22.8 Wh for the display model), which is average for a mobile workstation. However,

The actual battery life is slightly below average. We managed to get 1 hour and 24 minutes under full load on the Surface Book 3 (full brightness, forced discrete graphics, performance mode on, running the SPECviewperf 13 test). Finally, in the typical use test (screen brightness at about 60%, running a lot of Chrome and Office windows, using a few Fusion 360 programs, and using the recommended power mode), the Surface Book 3 lasted 4 hours and 10 minutes.

Interestingly, in the latter two tests, both batteries were active until the clipboard battery reached 79% and there was no pause. It restarted when the base battery reached 40%. In the high performance test, the clipboard battery was dormant from the beginning (probably due to the power profile), but it also started when the base battery reached 40%. It seems that the Surface Book 3 will try its best to save the clipboardMicrosoft Surface Book 3 Laptop Batteryso that it can be used when needed.


New features of Surface Book 3
Surface Book 3 is available in 13.5-inch and 15-inch sizes. Although the Surface Book 3 is equipped with Intel’s 10th generation processors, its CPU options are disappointing. Even the more powerful Core i7-1065G7 only has a 4-core 15W processor, which contradicts Microsoft’s “powerful performance” propaganda. However, the Surface Book 3 does have twice the memory and storage space of the Book 2 (up to 32GB of memory, compared to 16GB of Book 2; up to 2TB of storage space, compared to 1TB of Book 2).

HP ZBook Studio G8 review: Work hard, play hard

We recommend several laptops that are great for creators or gamers. But as a device that combines entertainment, gaming, and business all in one (a unique combination, to be sure), the ZBook Studio G8 is a refined, well-performing product with powerful specs and a lot of features. HP’s ZBook Studio G8 is a versatile laptop, but it stands apart from other gaming laptops in a few major ways, most notably its backlit RGB keyboard with customizable backlighting for each key. It’s the only business laptop from HP to come with this feature, and it even comes with the company’s Omen Gaming Hub installed by default in the taskbar, where you can adjust keyboard backlight settings and optimize performance for any game you install. My review sample came with Nvidia’s GeForce RTX 3070 graphics card (85W max graphics power, 1,230MHz boost), along with other powerful specs including an Intel Core i9-11950H vPro processor, 32GB of fast 3,200MHz DDR4 RAM (soldered, unfortunately), and a 2TB NVMe SSD (replaceable, but sadly only has one M.2 slot).

The speakers are better than I expected and are great for video calls or listening to music, though you’ll get better performance with just about any pair of headphones. The HP ZBook Studio G8 is the best business laptop that tries to be a gaming laptop, an honor I admit doesn’t really matter since it’s really just HP’s take on this segment. Still, I think if HP iterates on this design and makes it a more gaming-focused laptop on the software side, it’ll have a lot of potential to compete with other sleek-looking laptops that actually have the performance to play games, like Razer’s Blade 15 or the MSI GS66 Stealth.

We like its unlimited data and variety of pricing plans, but if you’re a heavy gamer or regularly watch a lot of HD video, a cable provider (if you have network) may be a better choice. DJI upgrades its entry-level drone to 4K resolution – is it the best value for money in its class? Surprisingly, the 2x zoom has better dispersion at 4K resolution and above, which can show grain and make it easier to choose the best cinematography scheme for you.

Medion Erazer Major X10 laptop review

The Medion Major X10 is a very good 16-inch gaming laptop. It is the first laptop we have reviewed to feature Intel Arc A730M graphics.
The laptop is powered by a Core i7-12700H, a 14-core processor that is very popular in gaming laptops.
The internals of the device are fixed in the same way as most gaming laptops. The bottom cover of the laptop can be opened after removing 11 Phillips screws at the bottom.
It is equipped with two SODIMM slots, two M.2 slots (both under the bottom cover), a wireless module, and a Medion Erazer Major X10 laptop battery
Not only does it come with 32GB of dual-channel memory (2 x 16GB DDR5-4800), it also comes with 1TB of NVMe storage.
From the outside, the Major X10 is reminiscent of Lenovo’s Legion series. Medion has opted for a matte black body with an aluminum casing.
