Apple: 10 AirPods Pro tips and tricks you need to know

Now despite the newer AirPods 3, Apple’s AirPods Pro is still one of the best headsets Apple offers. AirPods Pro have a number of unique features, which may make them a more popular choice, including active noise reduction to improve the listening experience and interchangeable silicone earplugs for a more comfortable wearing experience. But can you fully let it serve you? Here are 10 tips and tricks for AirPods Pro to make you use it better.

Pairing takes only a few seconds

After unboxing the AirPods Pro, unlock the iPhone or iPad, and then open the headset charging case. After a second or two, a prompt will appear on your device asking if you want to pair earbuds. Click Connect to initiate pairing, and you are done. AirPods Pro can be used not only with your iPhone, but also with all Apple devices that you have signed in to your iCloud account.

Press your AirPods Pro

Instead of clicking on one of the AirPods, you will use the stick of the AirPods Pro as a button. There are actually no buttons; use two fingers to squeeze the flat notch on each AirPod. You will hear a click in your ear every time you press it. This is the effect of each button press:

Click: pause/play

Double tap: jump forward

Triple press: skip backward

Long press: Switch between noise reduction and transparency mode.

How to monitor battery life

Whenever you want to check the battery level of the AirPods Pro and the charging case, unlock your iPhone or iPad, and then open the charging case next to the device with AirPods. An animation will appear showing the charge level of each AirPod and case.

How to use active noise reduction

Perhaps the main function of AirPods Pro is active noise reduction. When it is turned on, noise cancellation can block almost all the background noise you would normally hear with ordinary earbuds or standard AirPods.

You can turn off noise cancellation by long pressing a button of AirPods, or use the control center on your iPhone or iPad. Swipe down from the upper right corner of the device screen; then, when the control center appears, press and hold the volume slider. At the bottom of the screen, you will have three options: noise reduction, off, and transparency. Tap the setting you want to use.

Spatial audio is an impressive experience

Spatial audio provides an immersive surround sound experience, providing a 360-degree soundscape that can be adjusted according to your movements. This experience is relatively new and can be used on AirPods Pro-just enable the feature in your settings. Go to “Settings”> “Bluetooth”> click “i” next to AirPods Pro, and then slide the switch next to Spatial Audio to the “on” position to turn on Spatial Audio. Then, you can listen to the demo to understand how the function works by selecting “View and listen to how it works”. If you are unlucky when using Spatial Audio, you may also need to update the firmware on the AirPods Pro, but this is your iPhone’s responsibility.

Use Apple Watch to control AirPods Pro

If you have an Apple Watch, you can tap the AirPlay icon in the “Now Playing” application when using AirPods Pro to switch between noise reduction and transparency modes.

Use Mac to control AirPods Pro

When using AirPods Pro with Mac, you can switch between noise reduction and transparency modes without squeezing AirPods Pro. On Mac, when your earbuds are successfully connected to the computer, you will see an AirPods icon. Click it, and then change the mode.

Get the right figure by switching skills

AirPods Pro comes with two extra-sized earbuds in the box-the medium-sized earbuds are already installed. Try these first, if they feel uncomfortable, you can change to a different size. There is no trick to removing the tip from each AirPod, just pull it down and push to install the other pair.

Check the charging status while charging the charging case wirelessly

The protective case that comes with AirPods Pro will charge wirelessly on the same wireless charging pad as the iPhone. Put the charging case on the charging pad with the small light facing up and start charging. When the charging case is placed on the charging mat for the first time, the indicator light of the charging case will light up to let you know that it is charging. However, it will eventually time out and shut down. Tap the charging box to view the charging status of the charging box (green means it is fully charged).
