I believe that among Mac users, many of my friends still don’t know some Mac functions and techniques. If you know and use them, it will bring you great convenience! Let’s take a look together!
Summon Siri
Press and hold Command+Spacebar or tap the Siri button in the Dock or menu bar, and you will have the same Siri service as the Siri service used on your iPhone

If you receive the PDF to be signed via email: You can sign directly in Mail. Drag the PDF to the email you sent and hover over it-in the upper right corner, you will see a small button appear. Click it and you will get a series of marking options, including options for signing documents. You can add your signature or draw on the touchpad by lifting a piece of signature paper on the webcam on your Mac.
Use split screen view
If you are still using macOS Mojave or earlier, you can press and hold the green maximize button of the application in the upper left corner and left-click, and then drag it to your preferred location on the left or right of the display.

Connect the camera with Image Capture
Image Capture allows you to import all the photos of the camera into a folder of your choice at once, or better yet, you can pick and choose which photos to store on your Mac, and at the same time decide whether to keep or delete the originals. In addition, you can wirelessly connect to the scanner to import scanned documents or photos into your preferred catalog. You can also link your camera to any macOS application you want.
Use shortcuts to increase speed
Apple brought shortcuts to the Mac in macOS Monterey, which is a great way to automate common tasks. You can build your own shortcuts from the included Starter Shortcuts, and there are also a large number of shortcuts available for download.
Add a guest account to your Mac
If you want others to use your Mac without viewing any of your content, create a guest account in “System Preferences”> “Users & Groups.” When your guest logs out, all the information and files in their account will be deleted.
Get the Wi-Fi password you don’t remember
If you find yourself in a strange place, or you just forgot your Wi-Fi password, you can use the keychain access on your Mac to find it. Operation: Open Keychain Access by searching in Spotlight, search for the connection name, and then double-click the iCloud Keychain corresponding to the SSID you are looking for. Click “Show Password” and enter your keychain password.
Hide your tracks in Safari
You can delete some or all of the browsing history in Safari by opening the history and clicking the Clear History button. You can delete all history records on other devices that are logged into your iCloud account.
Use Activity Monitor to troubleshoot applications
Start the activity monitor to view the current processes and the resources they occupy. These columns display information such as the CPU usage of the process or the RAM it occupies. If there is a process that takes up resources and you are sure you don’t need it, you can end it by selecting it and clicking “Exit Process”.
