That’s nearly 1mm thinner than the 7.2mm Galaxy S25, but still thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 6 (which is 5.6mm when unfolded).
Despite this, the phone should still be durable. TechRadar told Samsung at MWC 2025 that the phone’s slim profile won’t come at the expense of durability. The Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra is one of the best camera phones around, and rumors suggest the Galaxy S25 Edge could follow suit. Specifically, the phone could feature a 200MP main camera lens, something Samsung only offers on a handful of its phones.
Thankfully, another leak claims the S25 Edge will feature a 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens — the same as the Ultra. So let’s hope that’s true.

As if the 25W charging speeds weren’t bad enough, the Galaxy S25 Edge could have the smallest battery capacity of the entire Galaxy S25 lineup. Yogesh Brar claims the Edge will feature a 3,900 mAh battery, which isn’t exactly small, but is still 100 mAh less than the Galaxy S25.
If I had to guess, I’d say the battery was probably cut for weight and size reasons. Batteries aren’t the lightest components, and they take up a lot of space. So if Samsung is trying to minimize thickness and weight, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Cell Phone Batterymight be one of the first things to be cut. Thankfully, the S25 Edge will still be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. Not only is this the most powerful Android chipset on the market, but it’s also much more power efficient than its predecessor. So the 3,900 mAh battery should last a bit longer than it would have with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.
As for whether this phone will feature the more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, that’s another story entirely. The faster the chip’s clock speed, the more heat it generates. That, in turn, means better (and bigger) heat sinks. Will the S25 Edge have room for those? We don’t know yet
