The Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360 is a thin, beautiful laptop that delivers performance and power efficiency. While it doesn’t play games very well and the power cord is a bit short, those willing to put up with those shortcomings will get an AMOLED-equipped 2-in-1 ultraportable laptop that can easily carry all day for work or school. I know this because I’ve reviewed multiple versions of this 16-inch 2-in-1 laptop over the years, and while I’ve always appreciated the Galaxy Book Pro 360’s ultraportable design and gorgeous AMOLED screen, I’ve been disappointed with the Galaxy Book Pro 360’s batterylife of recent versions.
Not so with the Samsung Galaxy Book 4 Pro 360. This is a proud return of one of Samsung’s best 2-in-1 laptops, and I think it delivers a perfect blend of performance, portability, and power efficiency that deserves our Editors’ Choice award.

Move up and down, side to side, forward and backward, and the ZV-1 will easily keep up. Not allowing users to change settings via the touchscreen seems like a missed opportunity. You can pair the ZV-1 with a companion app so you can control the camera from your smartphone, but this really doesn’t help much if your hands are already full of the camera.

The video file consists of several scenes from Spider-Man 2, encoded in H.264 and looped for up to 20 hours. We use the VLC video player app from Google Play or the Apple App Store to play the file and record how long it plays when it restarts. We also put the phone into airplane mode, turn off all auto-brightness and sleep settings, and set the screen brightness to a standard 170cd/m2.Airplane mode turns off all of the phone’s wireless features, which naturally improves battery life, meaning our tests are repeatable and consistent. The biggest problem with wireless is that signal strength is hit or miss, which forces the phone to constantly adjust how much power it’s using, leading to erratic results. The Honor Magic 5 Lite was an impressive choice last year, but the Honor Magic 6 Pro, Magic 6 Lite, Honor 200, and Honor 200 Pro are 2024 devices, so Honor really made a difference this year.
Rounding out the top five are the Nothing Phone (2) and OnePlus 12, both of which offer Nothing Phone (2)  battery and OnePlus 12 batterylife of over 30 hours. Both brands also have one phone each in the list, with the OnePlus 11 a bit behind, followed by the Nothing Phone (2a). Sony is the only other brand with multiple phones in the list, with the Xperia 10 IV and Xperia 10 V both firmly in the top ten. Our test data actually goes back as far as the iPhone 5C, but to keep the chart manageable, I’ve focused on models from this century. As you can see,  iPhone 14 battery life has generally improved across the board, though some phones, like the 15 Pro Max, scored nearly identically to their predecessors, while others, like the iPhone 15, actually lost a few hours compared to the iPhone 14. We saw the biggest improvement with the iPhone 15 Pro, which made a significant leap over the iPhone 14 Pro and almost tied with the 15 Pro Max.

Foldable phone design hasn’t changed much this year, but that’s by no means a bad thing. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 is an all-around stunning smartphone that’s still a pleasure to use, and if there’s any indication of where mainstream smartphones are headed from here, this is it.
Moreover, as more and more rivals emerge to challenge Samsung’s dominance of the foldable phone market, it seems wise for the company to choose to improve the formula rather than completely change it.vIn terms of quality, we’re once again looking at a pair of excellent screens. They each have two display modes to choose from – Vivid and Natural – with the former being the default setting. In this mode, the Z Fold 5’s internal screen averaged a Delta E (color variation) score of 3.36, hitting 100% of the sRGB color gamut, and total volume of 151%. In Natural mode, however, colors are more subdued, with a Delta E result of 1.81 and an sRGB color gamut score of 94.2% and 96.5% coverage. Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S review: Another great sports smartwatch

The Vivoactive 4 is more refinement than revolution, but it’s good enough to be our favorite fitness smartwatch yet. The Vivoactive 4 features a completely revamped design, a host of new features (most notably music playback), and, most importantly, a lower price, making it one of the most attractive fitness smartwatches you can currently buy.

This smaller device is lighter and cheaper than your average 45mm smartwatch, but it also lasts less on a single charge.
Inspired by the Vivoactive 3 Music, the watch now comes standard with music playback, including offline storage for Spotify and Deezer. It offers animated guided workouts, which combined with Garmin’s “coaching” tools make the Vivoactive 4 a better choice for runners and fitness novices than previous devices.
There are a host of other new features, such as Garmin’s Body Garmin Vivoactive 4/4S Batteryfeature and blood oxygen monitoring, which build on the core fitness tracking features of Garmin’s fitness wearables, which include GPS, heart rate tracking and sleep tracking. Garmin Pay is also supported thanks to its NFC chip, although only a few UK banks have signed up to the service.

The Vivoactive 4 has largely addressed that, though. For a start, its screen is larger at 1.3 inches (versus 1.2 inches on the Vivoactive 3), and combined with slimmer bezels and slightly curved glass at the edges, the watch looks more refined than its predecessor. The screen isn’t an AMOLED panel like on the Venu, but a transflective Memory-in-Pixel display that’s legible in bright sunlight and, importantly, always on. Other major design changes are that the Vivoactive 4 has two buttons instead of one, and comes in two different sizes.

This not only allows you to stream music files directly to the watch, but also connects to third-party services like Spotify, Amazon Music, and Deezer. In terms of the number of sports it can track, it’s far superior to any similarly priced device in the Forerunner range. Sadly, it doesn’t have open water swimming or triathlon modes. I didn’t pay much attention to this laptop when I first heard of it. But the second I went hands-on, I realized I had massively underestimated the Asus Vivobook Pro 15.
