You can pair the ZV-1 with a companion app so you can control the camera from your smartphone, but this really doesn’t help much if your hands are already full of the camera.

Best Phone Battery Life: How We TestTo see how your phone performs against the competition, we compile all the battery scores from the countless smartphone tests we do each year into one easy-to-use chart so you can see which phones have the best battery performance.To measure smartphone battery life, we run a continuous video playback test. The video file consists of several scenes from Spider-Man 2, encoded in H.264 and looped for up to 20 hours. We use the VLC video player app from Google Play or the Apple App Store to play the file and record how long it plays when it restarts. We also put the phone into airplane mode, turn off all auto-brightness and sleep settings, and set the screen brightness to a standard 170cd/m2.Airplane mode turns off all of the phone’s wireless features, which naturally improves battery life, meaning our tests are repeatable and consistent. The biggest problem with wireless is that signal strength is hit or miss, which forces the phone to constantly adjust how much power it’s using, leading to erratic results. Best Phone Battery Life: The ResultsIn past years, Samsung only had a handful of phones on this list, but recently the company has really made progress, with a total of six smartphones making our top 20. Both brands also have one phone each in the list, with the OnePlus 11 a bit behind, followed by the Nothing Phone (2a). Sony is the only other brand with multiple phones in the list, with the Xperia 10 IV and Xperia 10 V both firmly in the top ten. Our test data actually goes back as far as the iPhone 5C, but to keep the chart manageable, I’ve focused on models from this century. As you can see,  iPhone 14 battery life has generally improved across the board, though some phones, like the 15 Pro Max, scored nearly identically to their predecessors, while others, like the iPhone 15, actually lost a few hours compared to the iPhone 14. We saw the biggest improvement with the iPhone 15 Pro, which made a significant leap over the iPhone 14 Pro and almost tied with the 15 Pro Max.
