Act Fast if You Don't Want to Miss Out on This Rare PS5 Discount
Sony's popular next-gen console saw its first real discount last week, and it could be gone by this Friday.
The PlayStation 5 first hit shelves nearly three years ago, and it's no longer an uphill battle to get your hands on one of these ultrapopular Sony gaming systems. There are even rumors of a new PS5 Slim coming later this year, which means we're starting to see some first-time discounts on this next-gen console. Last week, several major retailers including Amazon and Best Buy knocked $50 off the list price of the full-size console, so you can pick one up for $450 right now -- the lowest price we've seen since it was released. There's no official expiration for these deals, but rumors suggest they could be gone by Friday, Aug. 18, so you'll want to get your order in soon if you don't want to miss out on these rare savings.
The discount on the console is coming just before some of the biggest games of the year launch, including, Spider-Man 2, Lies of P and Baldur's Gate 3, which will all be hitting shelves before the end of the year.
And the PS5 console isn't the only thing on sale right now, either. Amazon, Best Buy and Target also have several colors of the next-gen DualSense wireless controller on sale for $50 right now, which saves you $20 or $25 compared to the usual price.
There are also tons of great PS5 games that you can grab on sale right now as well, including Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War: Ragnarok and more.
